If history repeats it will be at least 6. Possibly as many as 8-10.

Three booked so far and it probably will be 7-8 by the end of 2020.

Haha as many as I can get by with! April (4 days), July (5 days), and October (4 days) are definitely happening. January may happen if I have to push my currently scheduled trip back due to some work that just came in. Superbowl weekend is always a possibility. I like going the 2nd week of December just to get a break from all the Christmas mania that kicks into high gear around then.... so 3-6?

I limit myself to one a year now.

The reasons are decidedly not for financial issues; rather a combo of different aspects.

First- my wife hates gambling, so that we would almost never choose Vegas, unless there was a specific family celebration- like a wedding vows re-up a couple of years back with a close family member.

Second, my posse and I are trying to cram in multiple things of interest. We are BIG Horse Players and NFL followers (former Season Tix holders of the Bills). One of our buddies has a strong lean to NCAA Foots, so we have his picks. We are yuuuge Baseball fans, being in Roto & former Season Tix Holders of the BJs. We care little about Basketball, less about Hockey- until the Playoffs.
Therefore, 3 years ago, I decided we should move off our cheap trip in December or even, late November- and try the Halloween time period for the BC & NFL.

Third, the climate. We can’t stand the heat, so this window is absolutely beautiful. I’ve been previously in May & September and wouldn’t consider, June- August. Likewise, the cold period between December- February is out. Leaving, the glorious month of mid October- mid November and March- April.

Fourth, since we’re all retired, family & friends, we have a yearly rotation now. February and Florida are a no brainer! The boys & I go to Saratoga to gamble at the track and Turning Stone Casino, in the first week of August, every year this Millenium. Plus of course, there are family visits both close to home and afar in Tennessee, plus a rotation of trips.

Certainly two, if my brother has any winning football bets to collect, then 3. A hand pay occurs, then maybe 4!

    But probably just 2[emoji3525]

    Good system, Rook!!

Vegas is something we do, not necessarily what we consider a destination. We don't have the quick proximity we once had but still a drivable place. If we were hours away via plane we'd really drop down. I'll have two trips in '19, which is a far cry from a decade-plus ago when we were on more of a VegasBJ-like pace, but up from more recent times when it might've been once every 18 months. My wife will tally three as she was just there with her gal pals. We'll be back over next month as we try to burn through expiring timeshare points. All our trips this year will be, as it turns out, timeshare. (We had a short Marriott filler during the spring trip.)

Only planning to do 4 weeks in the summer.

However, there may be 2 weeks before Xmas if this Xmas is as much fun as I think it will be.

Probably a couple times primarily to bet sports. It will be the first year in about a decade I have been less than a dozen times

Only one trip planned as of now. I’m hoping to go in January or February as well to take advantage of some free nights at Cosmo before they expire, but not sure that’ll happen.

I like how you center your trips around special events and/or holiday weekends. I do that too. My dates are similar to yours but i'm adding labor day weekend and I might add halloween

There are no Vegas trips slated or even white-boarded for 2020. The Mrs. & I agreed, while last in Vegas, sitting in the bar at Caesars, that we've pegged the meter on Vegas. A lotta other destinations need visiting before we're back that way. Honesty being the best policy.

My only planned Vegas trip next year is in the fall, probably around Halloween week. I also like visiting other areas in rural Nevada, as well as some non-Vegas destinations, so I started cutting back on the number of trips to Vegas.

I've also been thinking about checking out Biloxi and/or Atlantic City, since I've never been to either place yet. If I get ambitious, I may even turn that into a road trip and drive, if the weather permits. Although this past year, I've had to cancel a couple of road trips, since some of the places that I wanted to visit got hit with major floods.

My wife and I each have one standing trip on our respective annual schedules, our getaways with our best peeps. Now we're certainly going to have a slew of trips over the course of 12 months but most just fall in place after the concept or opportunity pops up. We planned a few specific things earlier this year because we knew her sister was going to be here from Oz. By that same token, we're going somewhere for Christmas and we still haven't finalized that. One thing we never plan around or experience -- other than in Nevada -- is gambling.

I average 10-12 short trips a year. This year I'm going to try to dial it back to every other month. Most of mine are last minute trips for concerts/events/etc except for Memorial Day for Punk Rock Bowling and Oct/Nov for SEMA. Work brings me to Vegas quite a bit so fighting the urge to stay is pretty difficult.

Going for 9 nights in June 2020. Already paid for. As soon as I got back from my last trip in July 2019 (first one back in a long time), I felt that the only way to make it through to the next trip was to reserve another one, and make it real by paying. Worst case I lose a bit of deposit money on my air-ticket and hotel. I doubt it though. Unless the world completely falls in I am going. Love summer in Vegas! If I lived in the U.S. I'd go more, but coming from Australia is a more expensive/major proposition. We lose 50% on our dollar just off the exchange rates alone right now. i.e. need to spend $1,500 AUD to get $1,000 USD. Nasty! But its still Vegas, and I'll still find a way to go!
