This is a bit weird, but on two stays at Wynn over the past couple months, I’ve looked high and low for minibar prices. I haven’t found any. Tonight, I grabbed a bottle of Bulliet Bourbon for a grand total of $15.16. I’ve paid that much in bars in big cities, but I think I deserve a price list.

Did you call anybody at Wynn and request one?

Yes, this. It's like a restaurant with a drink menu but no pricing. Intimidating to ask I guess but when are you ever going to see those people again; I mean really. You ask. Although maybe without having to tip the mini-bar they figure you can go a bit over the "base" price.

We returned from Encore this past Thursday and the price list was slipped (placed) between some of the dry items atop the bar.

We found the same thing at Bellagio in April -- no printed listing of the minibar prices. DH found it when he was looking at the menu options on the TV, so it may be that Wynn has gone that route too.

If you have to ask because you're concerned about the cost, perhaps you shouldn't be staying at this resort.
I'm sure prices are posted on the Stratosphere vending machines. Shall I call you a cab or do you already
    have a bus pass?

Was this a 50 ml airline bottle for $15.16?

@hammie I'm not the person you asked, but yes. Their minibar is very steep. And like another user mentioned, the price list should usually be located up above with the dry items.

I know I saw a price list in July. I want to say it was either in the binder with the resort info, or on a slip of paper tucked into the items on top of the mini-bar.

There was a price list in my room at Encore in September.

From my perspective, I’m willing to pay bar prices for liquor, but I hate spending top dollar for water or Coke. I went though the whole room looking for a price list.

At the higher end properties I guess they may feel you don't care about pricing. For me I stay far, far away from the mini bars. I am even afraid to open the door.

I couldnt find one at Aria last time in the sky suite but maybe the menu was on the t.v. or something. I didnt care all that much as i had enough resort credit but the 50ml vodkas were all 15 bucks or more. Then the O.J. for mix makes it a 20 buck drink. You would think they would keep it somewhat reasonable to get you a bit loaded up before hitting the floor but i guess the cost of having someone refill it each day is too much for them.

This happened to my friend when she was getting married in Vegas in September.

They were staying at Aria, and my friend was getting her hair and makeup done in her room at Aria, by a stylist who was several months pregnant and needed a drink of water badly. My friend told her to take one of the large Fiji bottles from the minibar, figuring it couldn't cost more than $5 or $6.

TWENTY ONE dollars, it came to! Then when she and her husband disputed the charge on check-out, they said there was no price listed anywhere, and Aria's official answer was "All minibar prices are listed on the TV".

If that's not some high-handed bullshit...

I still can’t believe (unless it’s a dive and this ain’t no dive) they would risk offending a possible repeat customer with such shenanigans. Think of the goodwill one could have if they had asked what was what and then given it free or for 5$ ? you have to wonder who makes up all these policies.

When I stayed at Caesars in July, they post their mini bar prices on the TV. There is that info channel and you choose mini bar and the prices appear....not sure if Wynn does that too.

We stayed at Bellagio and then Wynn in August. The Bell hop who brought our bags up was super nice. I can’t remember if it was Fiji or Smart water but he told us not to grab it off the minibar. One of the shops had it for $5 or $6 I forget what the mini bar was - ridiculous. I’m pretty sure we saw the mini bar prices at Wynn somewhere in the room. The mini bar in hotels is forbidden fruit or the Lambada. I lay down the law. Do not touch the minibar!!!!

I hate that they put those fancy Chex mix and foo foo candy in the open. Thank God they don’t put Cheetos on the minibar.
