Unless I'm missing something, what is the point of shooting for 75k vs 25k? A $600 airfare credit? No way.

Is anyone else kinda surprised by all the "big" changes that CET is making at the last minute, with like no notice? This, the whole "no sharing accounts w/multiple cards," the increased resort fees? All announced at the last minute, all effective almost immediately. Weird? None of them really affect or bother me, it just seems like there would be more notice or something. idk.

Anyone that has to "shoot for" 25k would obviously be beyond foolish to even consider tripling their gambling for a $600 airfare credit.

There are plenty of people whose annual gambling puts them well above the 25k level, but not near the 150k level for 7*. This is targeted at them.

This times a million. Smart gamblers were taking money away from CET because while they knew they could easily hit 75k or even 100k there was no real perk so you could take the roughly 250k in coin in elsewhere and get some other nice perks. However, that's not without risk if you are trying to seed a property. Now they are saying if you hit 75k you can use your normal comp nights, get the 600 in airfare and in all likelihood have stuff comped off on the back end as well. It might be enough to keep people playing with them.

As to the lateness of the response, I actually commend them for being early and giving people the chance to get it this year. They could easily have announced this change on January 1 and I would think someone who was at 74k on 12/31 would be fairly unhappy. Instead they announce with basically a quarter of the year to go, a doubler promotion for this month and an earn to next year promo as well. Additionally some of there locations are offering up 5x TC days.

This means anyone who is close gets a chance to get this for next year, and it gives players like me the option to adjust my planning for next year as we opted to go elsewhere in November instead of CET since there was no perk to earning more TC and I still have to play on level for comps.

We are actually taking advantage of the partnership with Turning Stone to go up there for 2 nights.

I can only speak of the email I received and make an educated guess based on the limited datapoints I've seen where people have reported receiving or not receiving this email. My guess is that only people in danger of losing their status (perhaps only 7* or both diamond and *7) received this email as someone at CET marketing wanted to reassure players the annual retreat benefit will remain. They had tier mulitplers last year and why anyone is surprised the resort fees increase annually is beyond me; if only CET would let you bet if you believe the resorts fees would increase or decrease. Since my last stay at a CET property, I have spoken to my CET host four times, I have explained I have moved on to MLife and am fine with going from 7* to diamond for 2020, he said he's heard that from more and more people and would be submitting my comments to management (if that was even done, I don't think anyone cares about mid rollers in Vegas). I still occassionally play in CET properties and have met far more mid rollers who have gone from CET to MLife compared to from MLife to CET, perhaps CET is starting to realize that; perhaps not.

I am at 47,000 and have a very outside chance to make 75,000; I have never been above 55,000 before, but had some big swings this year, both positive and negative. I enjoy what CET offers, so I don’t mind being in that “mid-range of 40ish K.

One other point. The old tiers gave 4 free nights, which went away. I haven’t paid for a night in 10 years, so I don’t really know why people who were pushing 80k even cared about that.

Another two things I thought of with new tiers; with 7*, with the sole exception of the Sterling Brunch, you walk straight to a restaurants hostess stand and request a table and you'll be either brought to a "reserved" table or be the next ones seated even if there's a long line. I wonder if Diamond Plus or Diamond Elite will have that perk? Also, in places that can get congested like the buffets, will they now have individual 7*, Diamond Elite, Diamond Plus, etc, lines?

First let me say that CET made a big mistake in taking away the Diamond Aspirations level. They basically threw everyone that would never get to 7* level but could get half way under the bus.Lots of people seem to be saying this is late in the year, and I agree. Now they are trying to get every one back to try and it may be too late for some people.
However, Atlantic City has a 5X Tier multiplier on Mondays in October and there is a 2X Tier Multiplier for all of this month to be created next year for a head start. There are ways for people to earn that higher tier at Caesars. Although I don't think that it's worth it either unless you already go to the casino frequently in an area where the might be one casino in town and it's a CET casino.

I also think they should add some additional incentives for the people that reach 75,000 tier level. I would suggest adding a couple hundred more $100 dinner certificates and a companion like 7* get. They could get an additional person into the lounges. This would be worth it for many players.

I feel like I’ve had the opposite experience with CET compared to MLife. I never pay resort fees at CET (Diamond) and have any day comped, up to 5 days, at all their properties with usually $200-$400 FP and sometimes some F&B added. I also have an executive host with CET. MLife (Gold) on the other hand I have comped days at all their properties but the mid to higher end ones there are some non comped days. The comped days are also only 3-4 at one time. I also have to pay resort fees at their properties.

Yup. I'm 100 percent CET loyal nowadays. I'm barely a diamond. They do way more for me than MLife ever did. The resort fee perk alone is worth a lot.

A pretty meaningless perk for players at that level in Vegas, but I think it could actually be useful in some of the smaller properties in other markets, where free rooms can be tougher to come by for all but the biggest players...

Yes, I get what you mean. The 7* retreat says you get 4 nights for your trip. I've never stayed only four nights. Matter of fact, if it was only four nights I wouldn't even bother to go to Vegas. I fly out of JFK, by the time I'm all done with getting to the airport going through security waiting for the flight to take off, landing and waiting to get luggage, getting to the casino , checking in. It's usually at least 8 hours. I spent a half of day just getting there. I figure I have maybe 6 hours to do anything. I want to be there at minimum 5 nights. There's what written of the rule and what's actual may be two different things. If they ever use technology for booking - casinos will go to of business - because there are rules and there is real life.

I just sent them a message as to whether or not the $600 airfare was only to Las Vegas. I told them that I live in California and that would make the airfare benefit "worthless".

I'm not going to "spend" the money just to get an "exclusive card". I am pretty much done with CET for 2019.

from 7*insider, the way its written is its just to Las Vegas, he has in the news that players who live in Las Vegas will receive something else...but yea $600 for that play is not worth it

I just got confirmation that it is ONLY for Las Vegas, so I'm out.

    Hello xxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Harrah's Las Vegas. It is my pleasure to assist you with your Diamond Benefit inquiry. The $600 airfare credit is only valid for Las Vegas. I apologize for the disappointment. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

What I don’t understand is why do we need to wait til jan 15 before we can use the $600? Unless I am reading it wrong.

I am one of those people who benefit. Just over 70000 TC and since they are also giving me a pair of tickets to see Madonna, a November trip it is! Getting 4500 TC's in a weekend is fairly easy for an idiot like myself. And I may just use that $600 for a flight for Superbowl in Vegas. It's only October but I'm already winning!
