Lots of trips to Vegas. Lots of CET comped rooms.

Doing Planet Hollywood this weekend for very first time. Never stayed there. Do not think we ever even played there either. Only been to Diamond Lounge once.

Taking Uber from airport to get there. Probably will get a regular room as we are moving over to a suite at NYNY for rest of trip.

Comments - thoughts- food - Diamond perks, etc?

    Striphouse is a good steakhouse.

Used to like the heart bar, whenever I stayed there.

Koi i very good sushi. The casino is fun and has a party vbe, especially in the evenings. I also like the attached shopping mall. It has a few stores I can't find back home, but it has reasonable pricing compared to lots of other malls on the Strip. I don't stay there often because I do not like the rooms. Heads up, the in room lighting is very poor. So if you like to do things like read in bed, or work from your room, pack a small headlamp

PBR has a cheap breakfast. There are a few cheap breakfast options in miracle mile, but PBR is my choice.

What room type do you have booked? You should be able to get an upgrade at check in.

I just stayed at Planet Hollywood last month in a FOUNTAIN NS K room, and the fountain view was breathtaking (see photo of my view below). However, I just wanted to warn you that there are Fountain View rooms that are literally on the other side of the elevator bank. That was one of the rooms I was given. It was room 3567 so keep that line of rooms in mind. I actually didn't mind the noise, surprisingly (it was white noise to me and sounded kind of like a low rumble of thunder when the elevators would pass), but you might not like it. I always have ear plugs anyway, just in case, but I wanted to let you know in case that sort of noise is not tolerable to you.

Also, even though I was in a no smoking room, there was often a smell of smoke in the bathrooms that came from the ceiling vent. I've never had that happen at other places like Bally's (which is very smoky in general) so I just wanted to give you a heads up. Photo of what my room looked like is below.

Great casino vibe. My favorite place to play on the strip.

If you're a blackjack player there are about 6 $15 or $25 3:2 tables... they're located between the Party Pit, the Heart Bar, and the backup tables that only open at night. The $15 tables usually drop to $10 in the mornings.

Somebody already mentioned PBR's cheap breakfast. Ocean One in Miracle Mile also has a very cheap quality breakfast, as does Blondie's. Blondie's also has a daily 3 hour all you can drink domestics or well special for $20. Food's your average bar fare, nothing special, but has any sports ball game you'd be interested in.

There's a huge Walgreens just outside to the left.

Twin Peaks has good drink specials. It's just above the Walgreens.

    Burger is delicious.

    Strip Steak is pretty good.

Easy access to Aria, Cosmo, Paris and Bellagio.

Thanks for heads up. There are lots of places that look like they might be part of PH, but are not. I just did a lookup to help any others following along.

Found this list that will take reward points from this site. Limited breakfast options.

    CAFE HOLLYWOOD
    EARL OF SANDWICH
    GORDON RAMSAY BURGR
    KOI
    PF CHANGS
    PIN UP PIZZA
    RINGERS
    SPICE MARKET BUFFET
    STARBUCKS
    STRIPHOUSE

Earl of Sandwich makes a breakfast sandwich which is a good price for the strip. There are two ABC stores in the mall for room snacks. They always have cheap water and several beers on special. I love PHO in the morning enjoying Baileys and coffee and the Heart Bar makes a good spicy Bloody Mary that is comped with your Diamond card. Enjoy the trip and makes sure you ask for a high floor serviced by the second bank of elevators.

Thanks for hint about high floor. I had also read somewhere that Heart Bar does free drinks for Diamond. That works all the time? (we are both Diamond)

Make sure your room does not have the mesh advertising on the outside, very distracting and impossible to get a view. Hopefully your room type will not have this. Earl of Sandwich breakfast sammies good and coffee good as well at a reasonable price compared to Starbucks. Have fun!

Enjoy your trip. PH is my favorite. It feels like home. Koi has great food and there is a Mexican restaurant that has the best tortilla soup. The name has escaped me.
