Had a winning session at craps this morning. Just finished lunch at Holsteins.

 

That place is on my list... how was the burger?

 

Late to the party, I thought I was the only one who knew of that drink...the love child of the Negroni and the King of Cocktails, the Manhattan...do you find you have to tell them how to make it at most places? Rye or Bourbon?

 

It was fantastic. Cooked perfectly and you can tell that they use quality meat. It was so tasty.

 

The Manhattan is my go to cocktail when not drinking bourbon straight. The first time I had a Boulevardier was at NoMad bar this past April. The awesome bartenders there suggested it to me based on me describing the flavor profiles that I like. I loved the drink so much that I bought Campari as soon as I returned from that trip so I could make it at home.

I returned to NoMad specifically for this drink and although the same bartender was not working, the bartender I got knew how to make it without explanation. NoMad Bar is a legit cocktail bar. I imagine they would know how to make almost every cocktail and I highly recommend visiting (even though it is a bit expensive.)

I get it with bourbon...

Pro-tip, home bar, get Punt e Mes for your sweet vermouth, its a combo of Carpano Antica (also a great choice) and an Amaro, makes an extra special Manhattan and Boulvardier, and also try this with a 95+ proof Rye, a bartender about 15 + years ago at B&B at Venetian turned me on to Punt e mes, it has such a complex flavor profile, I love it.

If I make it down to NoMad I will try one out; I am sure we could get one at Chandelier Bar as well, see if we cant make it happen at the meet and greet tomorrow! (unless I am in an Old Fashioned mood!)

Back at the Venetian for dinner this evening

 

That meal looked fabulous.

 

It was! I was stuffed afterward. Normally I’m not a dessert person but that banana cream pie sounded too good to resist!

 

I get the banana cream pie to go it is my favorite. Still can only eat half at a time.
I have gotten it to go at the bar if not eating in the restaurant

 

Good morning VMB! I was finally able to sleep in this morning for the first time on my trip. My body is getting accustomed to the time zone and tomorrow I’m going home. That seems to always be the case for me.

Yup, that means today is my last full day in Vegas. And I plan to make the most of it. Looking forward to the VMB meet tonight at Cosmo.

Last nights dinner at Delmonico was amazing. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I was so full that I had to take an Uber back to Aria as I wasn’t going to be able to walk it.

I played slots at Aria last night as craps was all $15 by that time. I had a few decent hits which helped with the bankroll. Still down for the trip but hoping for some more luck today!

Time to figure out where to have breakfast and get moving for the day.
