May Variance be on Your Side! Vegas! Semi (a)Live 10-09 > 10-13

Well, it's that time again, another Vegas trip! If my math is right, this is #16..

Leaving today connecting through MSP on Delta. Usually like flying SWA direct but this one was $150 cheaper only adding 90 minutes with the connection and had enough miles to do an upgrade to "Comfort+" which means I can stretch a little AND enjoy some adult beverages on the MSP-LAS leg! Should get in right before 4p Vegas time.

This trip a bit different than the past. I like to say I have evolved in my Vegas travels. The bankroll, games, and denominations I play are all vastly different than prior trips. I don't like play expectations as I have had some negative experience with 2 Mlife hosts and one downtown. So I now stay where I get the best offer, hop around and enjoy myself as much as I can. My May trip earlier this year was exactly that. I basically no-played Mirage but gambled everywhere and had a great time. Honestly, its not "fun" anymore to play $100 slots or hands of blackjack and then be told you didn't play enough. Screw that! As someone posted in the past, I am now attempting to relearn to low roll! Quarter VP at the bar, cheap craps downtown, burn mlife for their last good offer, just enjoy myself.

Staying at the D tonight and tomorrow, and then my wife will fly and join me Friday where we will move over to the Bellagio where we have a Fountain View room, 200 F&b, and 400 freeplay...my last good offer as now it is Sun-Thurs rooms and 75 FP showing up going forward.

Goals this trip:
Successfully turn 725 Freeplay into cash(400 Bellagio, 175 Golden Nugget, 75 The D, 75 Cosmo)
Successfully use matchplay and promo chips at the D and Golden gate (50 each I think)
Meet up with some VMBers from the October group and maybe do a craps crawl
Cash big in the VMB Slot Pull and Meet and Greet on Thursday!
Visit Jerrys nugget for their new member first day bonus
Get a Royal!!
Drink moderately heavily...in January I emptied one of the kegs at golden gate myself! Let's do 2 this time!

Wow, such a plethora of VMBers doing TRs, Wish I was there, but I guess I'll have to live vicariously.

 

It was a Peroni. I had to have had 6 or 7 at the bar playing VP then continued at the blackjack table where I went from $10 bets to $200 a spot...and winning! The CW came up and said there's no more until 1, I thoughr they were cutting me off...No...you emptied the keg! LOL so I switched to vodka crans. It was the first time the pit boss gal came out to shake my hand and the dealers were getting good tokes

 

Good luck low rolling and busting those kegs! I busted one at M Resort last trip myself but it wasn't because I had more than 7 in a row. Haha

 

forgot to add, this is the sweet spot I am trying to be in.

And once I drank the Cal out of Hennessy w. a BJ table full of Hawaiians..

Embarrassing moment on the flight... I was getting my first beverage when I got super excited being given a 2nd right away. Accidentally flipped my half drunk cup onto my lap and unsuspecting person next to me. whoops. luckily had my carryon with a change of clothes...

 

went down to vue bar while pho n e was charing...hit 3 quads...one the progressive was up to 44 bucks...
made 112 at VP...after 7 beers toking a buck each time.
lost 600 on blackjack playing my matchplays

down 600 to start the trip

 

Didn't stray far from the D and Golden Gate last night. Wandered into Golden Nugget to play my 75 FP and got squat. Enjoyed a few beers at GG playing craps (loss)...then some American Coney and up to the room to get some sleep.

Now it is 245am and I am wide awake...!!

 

Good Morning Vegas!

Well I popped downstairs for a quick walk to Walgreens at 3am grabbed some pop and oj. A bit chilly.

Going to Vue Bar now catch a few drinks to cure this headache then we'll see where the morning goes.

Wish I had my phone on me last night to capture those 3 quads I got...that was the best I could do gambling wise as my first night was a losah! Onward!
