    2 comps nights + 2 discounted nights.

I was gonna book Mandalay Bay for 300$ + tax + resort fees, but now I'm hesitating with the Park MGM. They are both about the same price with my MLife card.

I'm a blackjack 25$ player and a sports better (I heard good things about the Mandalay sports book).

    Which hotel would you choose?

    Thanks

I have spent a little time at Park MGM, but have not stayed there. So I can;t really give you a credible comparison, but I can say that Mandalay is great place to stay. It has good restaurants, entertainment, and a big casino. The rooms are good and reports on here say there are sometimes noise issues in the rooms at Park. But for you, I think the MB sportsbook is much better than Park. At Park, its more of a sportsbar where you can make bets, not a sportsbook. if you prefer a sportsbar, then go for it. When I am in vegas, I prefer a sportsbook and MB has a big, good one

Most say that if it was centre strip as opposed to south, it would be up there with the top resorts.

I had swapped it out, but want to stay there, so have managed to fit 4 nights at Delano into my trip next summer.

Other than center strip - the decision is very easy from where I sit - M-Bay all the way.

The casino and options beat the snot out of ParkMGM. We love staying down there.

I agree with UKFan's assessment of the Mandalay Bay sportsbook. My husband and I love the layout and visibility of the MB Sportsbook, as well as many of the awesome restaurants on the MB property. Mandalay Bay opened in March 1999 and the casino and guest rooms reflect a modern vibe. The MB casino has high ceilings with good air flow. If room size matters to you, Mandalay's standard room (base room, not suite) is 550 sq ft.

Park MGM opened in June 1996 (as Monte Carlo) and the standard rooms and baths are considerably smaller. One list showed Monte Carlo standard room as 400 square feet. Based on a brief visit to our friends' room, it felt similar to the Paris (390 square feet) standard room.

Aside from location, if being more towards center Strip matters, Mandalay Bay blows away Park MGM in every metric.

Better restaurant selection, better nightlife, better pool, larger and much nicer rooms, and of course floor to ceiling windows.

I'm not a pool guy so I really enjoy Park MGM as a mid-tier Mlife property. My Mlife comp rooms don't include Aria/Bellagio. I've stayed at Park MGM on my last 3 trips, and will do so again in two weeks. Location and the comfort of the beds are really what mean the most to me, and Park MGM is good enough for the first part of that and excellent for the second. It has easy interior access to Aria and it's a 10-15 minute walk to Bellagio.

With that said, MB is a better property in every aspect other than location. I'd choose MB every time over Park MGM for the same price unless I specifically had a strong reason to not want to be that far south. They've got a great sportsbook and two very solid 3:2 blackjack games that are usually $25 (the minimums can sometimes go up higher than that when it's busy).

MB all the way, especially if you have your own transportation.

MB is a better property, as they have a lot there too and even if the the location isn’t the greatest I would choose it over Park MGM!

ParkMGM has three things. Bavette’s steakhouse. Close proximity to the other casinos. Closer to cheaper restaurants.

    Everything else MB.

We gave up rental years ago and either walk or take uber.

We have no problem walking all the way up to Mirage and then Uber back.

That's kind of how I am, but the opposite. Usually Uber to wherever I'm going for breakfast/dinner and then walk/tram it back to MB/Delano.

It depends what's most important to you during your trip. Mandalay Bay has the better rooms, particularly base rooms, varied dining options, and way better sportsbook. Park MGM has the much better location. If you plan to spend most of your time at the resort where you stay, Mandalay Bay wins hands down.

Thank you all for the comments. I've just booked MB for 4 nights starting on October 10! $298 + tax + resort fees = $506.

    One more question:
For the NFL on Sunday, I was hesitating between the MB and the Mirage sports. Would Mirage be considered top tier and MB mid tier, or are they similar?

    Thanks

Since you'll already be at MB, and since their sportsbook is actually really nice, I'd stick at MB. Mirage's sportsbook is really nice but not that much nicer than MB's. I'd probably go to Wynn or Westgate before Mirage.

Stayed at Delano in Sept, for me the casino floor at MB is just ok.

The slots are of the older variety and some of table games(roulette) are stuck in the 90's. I think the games are better at Park. MB has the pool and a great sportsbook.

Another plus for Park is location compared to the out of the way MB.

I've stayed at Park but never stayed at MB so take this with a grain of salt as this is how I would weigh the options... I will say that based on quality of property, MB is head and shoulders above. There is just more to MB for facilities, casino, rooms, etc. In terms of location to other properties, it depends on what is important to you... Park is head and shoulders above if you want center strip (my home bases is Aria/Cosmo) as it's easy to get around by foot. But if you don't mind where you are on the strip, then definitely MB would be my choice.

MB is the better resort, nicer restaurants, etc - but Park's location is a million times better.

If you hop around (and as a $25 blackjack player you would be good to hop over to Cromwell) then I'd actually be the lone dissenter and say pick Park MGM.

if you plan on spending the majority of your time in the hotel you're staying at, MB is the clear choice.

I think you made a great choice.

Mirage has one of the top tier sports books, but the MB sports book was recently renovated. It’s very decent. I think MB as a whole is a cut above Mirage.

I recommend downloading the MGM sports betting app regardless!

Pro tip: the elevators in the main tower go down to one level below the casino/front desk level, right to the rideshare pickup area. Very convenient if you are taking Uber or Lyft.
