This Sh*t is Bananas - Cosmo Solo Oct 9-13: Slot Tourney, Summit, VMB MeetUp

Ok. Going to give this a shot. This will be semi-live as I will be mostly confined to wifi once I get there.

Plans include:
-Checking out Caesars Diamond Lounge (maybe free Diamond show considering Wayne Newton)
-Cosmo's Steins and Spins Slot Tournament
-VMB slot pull/meetup
-Costume Contest at the Summit
-Gwen Stefani

This is my makeup trip for this year. I had an amazing trip planned back in June with my Mom which included Lady Gaga tickets I had secretly purchased a year before and I had to cancel literally the night before due to health issues I was having. It has taken me months to feel better and get over the upset and stress the whole situation caused.

Anyway, my Mom didn't want to reschedule because we are now planning a 10th anniversary trip next year with all of the guests that originally came to our Vegas wedding so she wanted to save for that. My husband already had plans to go golfing in Myrtle Beach in a few weeks and truthfully he isn't as BANANAS for vegas as I am - so this will be my second time going solo.

I've never done a slot tournament so when I got Cosmo's invite it was a no-brainer to make a trip of it. I've listened to the Five Hundy By Midnight podcast since the very beginning (back in the day I used to do a Marilyn Monroe podcast) so was excited that the trip coincided with the Summit so I can meet them. I'll only be able to get to the Friday night event which is a costume contest (hope everybody likes my costume!!!). If anyone else is going to this from the strip let me know maybe we can uber together downtown.

My last minute decision is to try and use my Reward Credits I have saved up and get a free ticket to see Gwen Stefani. I was crazy for her Love Angel Music Baby album so think I will really enjoy it. I know it isn't Lady Gaga but at least she is blonde so it will fill some of the void LOL.

Anyway, I guess that is it for now. Have just pulled out my leopard luggage and need to get packing. Put my new pin on my jacket before I forget - some of you might recognize it. Head to the airport at 6am tomorrow and should be in Vegas by noon! Also looking forward to my plus seats on Westjet - gotta love free booze!

As a fellow Vegas Nerd and Summit attendee if you're coming downtown Friday night for the costume contest, I'd urge you to try and make it down to start the event off with us at the Golden Gate at 3 and the meet and greet and parade down to the D. Always a good time.

Have a save flight and a great time in Vegas.
I planed to visit the Wayne Newton Show at Cleopatra Barge, too. But if I will be in Vegas, the show will not be running. Wayne will make a short break. Now I‘m overthinking for Human Nature (would be my 5th Show visit) or the new Show about Elvis (Hatrahs).

 

Wayne Newton was fun. Saw him in at CaesarsWindsor.

Would love to just not sure what time I'll finish up the slot tourney session that day yet. Should get schedule tomorrow. Plus hate the idea of carrying around a bag all day but we'll see.

So at the airport now. Getting ready to board and then a 4.5 hour flight. Love going through customs here in Toronto instead of when we get there. That way I can grab my bags and go on arrival.

Having a little freakout though. Forgot my phone charger! I have an iPhone SE so not the most popular model. Any ideas where I can go to get a cable for it near Cosmo? Is there an apple store around anywhere?

There are apple stores at the forum shops and fashion show mall. You might be able to ask hotel lost and found for a charger though. Haha

Do as Tring advises first - ask lost and found. The number
of phone items that most place have is insane. My friend lost
her phone at Caesars one time and when we went to see if they had
it - it took him almost 15 minutes just to dig through all the phones and cords
he had. I bet they have one that works.
