when in vegas its no big deal that internal clock as its a 24/7 city....but i have had the same (dont forget there is a 9 hours timedifference with the netherlands!!)
which spa are you gonna visit? dont be cheap and just pay 20$ for qua(ceasars spa) that would be my recommendation  (other options are harrahs or flamingo which will be free)

I want to try all 4 this trip. (Cae, Paris, Har and Fla) If I start with Cae the others will be a disappointment. I'll end with Cea.

Normally, I enjoy my internal clock being all over the place; it gives me a lot of variety in what I'm experiencing. But this trip, with so much planned, being on local time would be beneficial.

The elevator debacle. Better call @notfromconcentrate

I wait a solid 5 minutes for an elevator here at 4Qs North tower. About 8 of us get on and I ask someone to push my floor button. They do but it doesn't light up. Another person pushes it for me just to ensure it was pushed. It still doesn't light up. Okay, they need to replace a bulb. Then the elevator goes right past my floor. I reach the top and now heading down I'm frantically pressing the button really hard over and over again. It finally actually lights up and stops at my floor. This has to be repeated every time I get on the elevator. Maybe I should use one of the other two elevators instead?

Or, maybe, 4Qs needs to start a maintenance fee. $29.95/night and you won't have to drag your luggage up the stairs to the 10th floor. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Mushroom and provalone omelette (4*), rye toast (3*) and home fries (2*).

    Hit the spot. [IMG]

Stu, I love that place. IMO, best breakfast spot in Vegas.

Flamingo spa is dated and is neck and neck with the Rio as the most uninspired spa in town that I have been to. But it does have one cool feature, which is the showers each have 4 shower heads spraying at you from multiple directions.

Bally's is nicer. The spa host is a comedian.

Haven't been to the others but I'm sure they are nicer than the flamingo and Bally's.

Why constrain yourself to the cet spas? Roman influence notwithstanding, it isn't really cet's thing. (Except qua I guess). Palms sells day passes to non guests and is very nice. There's also a travelzoo coupon for a massage at the South point spa which is probably my favorite spa in town.

My favorite is the Encore Spa and the 40/45 dollar pass is worth it but I like the old school feel of the Flamingo Spa and the women's spa has a very large steam room and I love steam rooms. Erlinda is also a FANTASTIC MASSEUSE and you can get Diamond and Seven Star discounts off of any treatment.

Also remember the Linq now has a spa. I have not tried it but I heard it is small but nice.

I like the idea of trying them all. I would love to do that one trip and do a spa comparison for the heck of it.

4Q's North tower . Saw one of those rooms last November facing back towards the strip. High floor but reminded me of a college dormitory. Not in a particularly good way. And how to find an ice machine? On select floors of course.
Stayed one night in the South tower at the casino rate and used credits from play to pay. It was around 32$ on a Thursday night. A WHOLE different experience. Working safe, multi-jetted shower, comfy bed. And a different set of elevators as well. You live, you learn. Great report so far. :D

I find Magnolias Cafe to be consistently good but not great, and definitely uninspired. I don't think they would know what to do with marjoram, paprika or another spice used to create depth in taste.

I want to do comparisons of CET spas. Will add Linq and Rio to the list. I go to South Point spa every time I stay there. And, yes, I think it is a very nice spa.

    This.
Yes. I'm here on casino rate. $39/nt...$158 total for the 4 nights. Room isn't bad. Not great but not bad.
And as dated as the wall paper is, it doesn't make my eyes bleed the way the striped stuff at the Flamingo does.

Yeah, I don't think complexity of flavor is listed on the job description. They have chosen to focus on American comfort food, which they do well, but if you are looking for any spice beyond salt, pepper, or Lawry's seasoning (which i suspect is primarily salt and pepper), it would behoove you to look elsewhere.

They really are reliable for a good solid breakfast at a fair price.

Want a 5* omelette? Add 1 tbs of cream and a 1/4 tsp of marjoram to the raw eggs. Make it at home and you'll be able to judge great breakfasts. Do they all have to be great? No. But the $18 ones better be.

We were pleasantly surprised by Sekushi last August. Glad you enjoyed it as well.

    CET SPAS:

PHo: by Mandara, nice atmosphere, empty. One jacuzzi. It wasn't hot enough.
    Steam room. Not hot enough.
    Sauna. Not hot enough.
You wonder why you're sitting there in this empty room.
    Tea, juice, fruit.

Paris: they wanted $20 with a diamond card. Who would pay that when Qua at Caesars is also $20? Qua is their best spa by far...so I didn't go in.

Flamingo: busy, busy. 3 nice tubs at the right temperatures.
    Nice steam room.
    Nice sauna.
    Good ambience, but not luxurious.
    Tea, juice, fruit.
This is my choice so far.
