just a quick note of how disappointed i am in harrahs in biloxi
was there about 6 weeks ago
first off the elevators were broke on a sunday afternoon in the parking garage , no sign or anything
    not fixed till monday
went to the buffett on sunday , jesus the food was terrible with very little selection , felt like i wasted 40.00
    well i did actually ....
wanted to play roulette tuesday night , someone had just spilt a drink on the table and the felt on the table could not have been more wore out
anyway , so i send off an e-mail
i am told that since i have more than one complaint that they will forward my e-mail along and someone will respond
    well they have not!!
so i sent another email and was told that it was unacceptable that i got no response , and that again my e-mail would be forwarded and a response should be coming ...
well eight days later ... nothing ...
so i sent yet another e-mail stating that i am done with harrahs for good ....
    we will see what happens
i am by no means a High Roller but seriously harrahs need to get their shit together , as i can see them losing more and more people
they are the smallest casino in biloxi and really need to do much better
hell , their horse shoe property in tunica is much better and that is in the middle of fucking nowhere !!

We have given up visiting there - many years ago. And we are both Diamond and can get rooms anytime we want.

I have to agree. Harrahs was our first go to about 4 years ago. After 3 stays we haven't been back to stay eat or play. They were tight with comps , we never had any luck and worst we believe we got bed bugs from there.

But, but, but..... the newly renovated rooms are very nice. It's about the only good thing I can say about Harrah's Biloxi.

I am a Diamond player for over 10 years. Harrah's Biloxi treats me like a first timer off of a church bus. I go across the street to Golden Nugget and they give me free food , free play, free shows and free rooms. Guess where I now play and stay. The Harrah's host better wake up because all of my gaming friends say the same.

After our first stay when we went back we paid to stay at the Golden Nugget when we could have stayed for free at Harrahs Biloxi. We never even went in to get free play.
    The place was just sad.

Well this does not bode well. I just booked a room there for my birthday after finalizing my Vegas thanksgiving trip (they're only a couple weeks apart I had caesars booked for my birthday but I can't afford the time off work and airfare for another Vegas trip that soon). So I thought screw it I'll check out Biloxi. I can drive there in less time than the flight to Vegas. I wasn't expecting it to be Vegas but damn this doesnt sound good at all.

@MCann Biloxi itself has lots of other casinos that are fun. Just not Harrahs. Gamble elsewhere, check out the area. Have a good Birthday!

I will be the contrarian here. My wife and I went down to Harrah's last Friday and had a good time. We weren't staying there because we live in Gulfport now and we only ate at Mix-N-Mingle so we can't comment on their rooms or buffet. I really like the upgraded/renovated Show Bar which is now called the 406 Club. It is still a video poker bar but it is now very attractive and brand new. (the bar has the same granite top as Tap at Beau Rivage) There is a sports bar/viewing area a few steps away with a great TV selection and betting kiosks for quick sports wagers. That sports viewing area has multiple rows of overstuffed recliner type chairs that looked very comfortable. To us, this entire part of the casino was a big improvement over the previous use of that floor space.

Ah, floor space. As mentioned earlier, one of the biggest drawbacks to the casino floor at Harrah's Biloxi is that there just isn't all that much of it. While not the smallest casino on the coast (Boomtown & Treasure Bay would take those honors), it is definitely a small casino floor. Our biggest complaint there is the lack of variety in all machine and table game categories. That isn't as big a deal with me as a craps & VP player but my wife likes a lot of targets when she is hunting a hot machine.

For the most part, the service I have gotten there has been up to par with what I get at other properties both on the coast and in Las Vegas. As I said, we had a good time there last Friday and will certainly go back again. I don't judge the quality of a casino visit based on wins or losses but both of us did win a few hundred on this last visit so that never hurts so that made it easy to have a good time.

I just scheduled my birthday trip last week I guess. It is zero cost or no way I'd even consider driving from Florida for just Friday and Saturday night. The only dates I've ever checked there and it wasn't comp was when I checked labor day weekend and the prices were outrageous, Saturday and Sunday but the holiday itself and rest of that week was still comp.

I guess to @sabrina point, my concern is if I can't enjoy the gamble there and or the rooms arent decent, I dont want to do all that driving just to take a hit to my CET ADT. I have decently generous comps with them in my opinion for my gambling habits. Not worth jeopardizing on a hotel and or casino that is going to make we want to go down the road to enjoy myself. I dont know. I'll probably go anyway if I dont do too horrible in Vegas at Thanksgiving. But maybe I'd be better off just paying for a room at another place?

Go to the Beau. Regular Rooms are a little tired but the gambol is great! Just ask for an updated room and you will be happy.

We enjoy our trips and stays at Harrahs Gulf Coast. I have to agree that the casino is small, but we enjoy a 1-2 night stay there. The casino floor at the Golden Nugget, Beau Rivage or the IP dwarf Harrahs in size and atmosphere.

Just saw in another post they have changed their $1 denom VP to $25 per TC. Starting to sound like another cancelled reservation but I'll hang on to it until last minute in case I really want to spend 10 hours in the car.

10 hours? I can drive from 3 hours SE of Tallahassee and still be in Biloxi in 8 1/2 total. That is with a lunch stop in Marianna.

As for Harrah's, the casino is now in what was once the hotel area before Katrina. They never really built the casino back as they promised. I get offers from them but always stay at the Beau. The IP has good rooms and casino.
You might want to explore the new Scarlet Pearl and see if they will give you a tier match. Nice place but not large.

    wanted to update this thread
i finally got a call back from harrahs in biloxi , i assumed it was someone high up , maybe he is i dunno
he said he was in charge of table games ...i explained what happened and he said to look him up next time i was back in town and he would "fix me up "
    we will see ..
now i never heard back from anyone else ...who ever is in charge of the buffet for example
the person who is in charge of table games seemed surprised no one else had contacted me , and said he would look into it ...so far nothing has been followed thru on its been a week
i wont be back till febuary and really at this point i have pretty much gotten over it , i may let him know i am in town ,i may not
one thing is for sure i will be spending alot less money at harrahs if any at all ...
