Both are comped, what would you go with?

Depends on what you want. I really liked my room at Luxor a couple weeks ago - but if you want a ritzier experience with a soaking tub, go for Venetian.

Personally I’d go for Venetian but there’s other factors like: does Luxor have more games you want to play, or eateries you want to dine at, location, etc.

Since I continue to get decent offers at Mlife - I would lean towards Luxor.

Getting a REAL suite is also a big one for us. Most of the rooms at V/P are not suites, but are nice over sized rooms.

2 BR vs regular room? How many people are going to be in the room(s)?

I agree there are other factors, location, the resort itself, which obviously Venetian is a much nicer property, restaurants, etc.

With that said, I have heard really good things about the newly renovated Luxor suites, and will be checking into one 2 days from now.

I believe the Luxor 2 bedroom suite is actually a 1 bedroom suite with a connecting room. But I may be wrong, just going off of what I have heard.
In your case with 3 people sharing the room you would at least have some privacy over a single room with 2 beds at Venetian. The value of this depends on how much privacy each of you would like obviously.
I would most likely choose venetian just because I like the location better and the room itself will most likely be more upscale than the Luxor room, even though it's been recently renovated.
Either you choose I think you will be satisfied with. I would say think about the location, resort amenities, etc and that should help make your decision.
Not sure if you already did... but the other thing to think about is Resort Fees. This has helped make my decision in the past as I do have comps at quite a few places but not all comp the resort fees. Paying the resort fees at Venetian but not having to at Luxor would probably make me lean more towards Luxor as an example.

With 3 people I'd opt for the room at Lux.

How important is having a separate bedroom with a door vs all 3 sleeping the in the same room. Meaning when one gets up, lights are on for everyone. Same with getting in late at night.

I would rather go with a 2 bd suite over a standard room every time

If you book the Luxor, may I trouble you to please give us a report. I normally avoid the strip but am considering booking that room for when I am in town with several friends. Thanks.

One more. Multiple bathrooms at the Luxor.

The 2 bedroom suite is actually a one bedroom suite, with a connecting regular room.

As above, the 2bed suite is the 1bed premier tower suite + 1bed tower room / connecting room..... (had the prem suite 3 times now, soon to be 4)
Great room, great size, so whoever gets the "2nd bedroom" is gonna get the raw deal ! :D :D as its the normal room with bathroom !

    ** Side note**
If you like Pool time, i read a horror story the other day about the Luxor :( :( :(
The pools are closed, so just the VIP/paid area pool is open, and open to all ! = wont be so VIP, and crowded! hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
Hoping we can use the M Bay pool next week!

Being I can have fun at whatever casino i'm at, I would personally go with the Luxor.

The renovated rooms are really, really good.

Yes you're not mid strip, but you are walking distance to MB, Excal, NYNY, MGM, (Hooters if that tickles your pickle), Park MGM, TMobile Arena.

Too funny! I have had this mental debate. I am staying in the 2 bedroom suite in 2 days with my sister and brother-in-law. The angel on my shoulder says they are 2 people who could take advantage of the bigger bathroom, don't get to stay in suites like this like I do, etc. Then the little devil on the other shoulder says "fuck it - it's your comp - they are getting a free room". Not sure which one I'm going to listen to :D

I stayed in both of your available room types. Venetian was my brother's home property when he would throw his annual labor day weekend bday party there so i'm a little tired of VP.

Having your own bathroom while the other couple has theirs is a big bonus. Luxor for me

@JosieCat Option B. They can have the nicer bathroom while you're out if you're feeling unusually accommodating.

THEY have privacy. And their own room. And their own bath.

    They will be fine.

thanks all. I booked the Luxor. I usually stay at nicer properties but figured the setup of the room for 3 folks is better. I’m not so concerned about getting around.

It's your comp, take the suite, give your sister the adjoining room. Assuming the connecting door leads to the living room area of the suite, and not the bedroom, no reason why you can't leave your side of that door unlocked. Then your sister and her husband can feel free to enter the suite, as long as they're not disturbing you in your master bedroom. Win-win!

That is probably what I will do. I made it very clear that the suite was for all of us, and that I had no plans to run around naked :). I'm sure they will just be happy to get a free room, and a good chunk of their food paid for.
