I read an article that the music event in Rachel was still going ahead as the owner of the Little Ale Inn had taken it on. The locals are not happy though about it taking place there.

I also hear on the news that the storming of the area was not happening. They were still continuing with a festival. The news was even interviewing the lady who owns the inn.

I am not interested in Area 51 just get me to Vegas!!!! 4 more days!!!

The guy who started this on social media surely must have know that this was a no go from the start, maybe the plan from the start was to make it just a music festival. You can't buy that kind of publicity really.

We've been trying to plan a trip through there for a couple months. It kept getting delayed and then Dan got excited that maybe we could see the people there for Storm Area 51, but alas. We will still be at home on Friday. :haha:

An airdrop is out of the question. The airspace surrounding Groom Lake is restricted from the surface up to the Stratosphere . I checked the charts. A HALO or HAHO drop is a no go. Guess we'll have to tunnel. Someone call Andy Garcia and see if we can get that Chunnel drilling rig delivered.

Didn’t go well a couple of years ago for a film crew for the BBC- whatever is out there is well protected.

Fremont street gets crazy enough. I would love to see the crazies running around in tin foil hats and alien costumes. it’s better than looking at old men in banana hammocks or women with saggy breasts and pasties- just sayin.

The event at the Little Ale'inn may be happening, but I WOULD NOT go. Nothing is set up!

(see this drone video, filmed yesterday! ) .

Anyone who is familiar with festivals, music events, will tell you.. this is NUTS. This infrastructure would need to have been built days ago, and thats for something near a metropolitan area. Something this far out should have had preparations done a week or two in advance. No bathrooms, no food, no place to stay, etc etc.

In fact, the Rachel Nevada home page (http://rachel-nevada.com/) is telling people its cancelled and directing them to the "Area 51 fest" hosted by Derek Stevens at the DVLEC in Downtown LV.

I would just go to Downtown LV and drink the green bud light!

Yep, whenever I'm planning to infiltrate a secure military facility I always trust my operational intelligence to a source who uses correct identification language: in particular, the word 'dude'. 'Cause we may need the 'coroner dude' if things go south.

I did read that the authority who control air traffic have told airlines that anywhere near Area 51 is a no go over the weekend.

The CBS morning news seems to think that this event is ON.

It should be on. The 'cancelation' was part ruse to add to the element of surprise so I hear.

There is no grass anywhere near the runways at McCarran.

Sounds like there are a few dozen people there who are there for a party, a few are apparently playfully jumping across the line and then hopping back. It's very early there however, prob get a thousand or so, no doubt a few will be determined to be arrested.

Uh, my guess is that the goons would not put up with that, and arrest them!
