That's a contest that I would love to enter. Last season, I got 1st place in an NFL full season pool, where you had to pick every game of the season, with the point spread. I beat out 81 players, so I would love to give this a try at the Golden Gate.

This whole watch thing is hilarious to me because the ONLY reason to wear a $150k watch on the field is so people will talk about how he wore a $150k watch during the game. There is no other reason to wear a watch during a football game. OBJ is a great player and will likely help the Browns on the field, but he is Antonio Brown-lite when it comes to off the field stuff. If people are not paying attention to him, he feels like he has to make them pay attention because, in his world, that is the worst thing that can happen.

In light of the Brown news last night, I don't think that off field comparison works anymore :eek::eek:

He might be a great player, but he is not a winner, just a whiner.
Not yet anyway. Stay tuned. :wink2:

Belk Bowl hangover :poke:. Seriously, interesting game. That pick six so deflated your gamecocks, it was hard to see them coming back after that.

Overall, feeling decent about my CFB bets a third of the way through the season. Even though I thought Missouri would be undefeated at this point, they have played well since that first game letdown. My Clemson, UT, and UCLA bets are looking like easy money at this point. Now I just need UGA to get it going against ND. I counted on them winning this game. If they lose, I have no margin for error the rest of the season on my wager.

As for my NFL season bets, I try not re-evaluate until at least week four. After four games, you have a better idea how strong or weak a team really is. That said, I already feel pretty certain that I misjudged Denver. Oh well. There are always a couple teams each season that I am dead wrong about. But as long as I am right on enough of them, it won't be a problem!

And as it looks right now, lots of people were wrong on the Cleveland Browns. All that hype, but so far, the same old Browns!! But they looked good beating the Jets. :haha:

I thought the Browns would be an 11 win team, but happy I did not bet on them.

Right now, I am on track to go 6 and 5 on my NFL win total bets and pretty much break even

It was a big leap to assume 11 wins. Their O-Line is still a mess and their defensive backs are trash/injured. People also put a lot of faith is a QB who didn't really beat any good teams last season when he started. In fact you could argue he still hasn't beat a good team. I am not going to full Rex Ryan and say he is overrated but he still has a lot to prove.

At this point, yeah, no shit. But the injuries weren't there when I made the wager (although the O line was known as their weakest position). And turnovers, which are historically impossible to predict, are killing them. Penalties are too and I did not take that into account when I graded the Browns before the season started. Oh well, it happens. Now, they are looking like an 8 or 9 win team

Oh, I meant the 11 wins now. Not at the start of the season but, personally, thought 8-9 was more in range because of the o-line issues.
