The info I received from one of the MB staff yesterday shed some light on the issues. They had a planned system wide upgrade overnight Tuesday. Obviously it didn’t go well. As a former IT person (though decades ago) I am familiar with scheduling upgrades but you ALWAYS have an escape route if things go bad. Judging by their website and now this I really have to wonder how they still have the three stooges handling their IT.

My view as I awoke this morning.

My last trip was epic. Lost most of my bankroll but had a great time, visited several casinos, saw Steely Dan and attended a Matt Bridger slot pull. I didn’t expect the same but this trip seems to be cursed. Hurricane, hours of nausea and the worst knee pain ever. I have never seen my left knee this swollen. All that standing in line for hours took its toll I guess.

I had plans to head to Luxor today. I have gift cards I can use at their salon for a blow out and wanted to check out the Titanic exhibit. I don’t think I should push it that far. Probably just wash my hair here and stay close.

I planned a longer trip this time because it is likely I won’t be able to do my annual spring trip. Now I’m wondering if this is the last for a long time...but I’ll be back eventually. I will still try to salvage what’s left but this did not go as I anticipated at all. I’m not upset or feeling that I wasted time or money. I’m very glad I’m here but thinking the reality is I need a break from it. I’ll be jonesing to come back in a few months but will put it off as long as I can to try to recapture the magic. I also think all might have been better had I not been solo. I have enjoyed myself and met some really nice people. No regrets at all.

Don’t want to seem from the last post I’m unhappy. Looking forward to today. Just disappointed I can’t physically do what I’d like. Thought about a scooter for the last 2 days but I can get from machine to machine so it would just be to get to Luxor. I can skip that easily.

What I neglected to say is how great the machines are here at MB. I found a lucky lemmings! That is my 2nd favorite after airplane. They have the new Planet Moolah, Tarzan end 007. I lost $100 at least in each but at least they are entertaining. Great mix of new and old favorites. My only complaint is some of the newer machines are huge and oddly slanted so I can’t see what is happening very easily. The new munchkin land and 007 are like that.

Great sunrise view as I ice my knee and enter numbers in my excel spreadsheet. Largest daily loss at $663. $1450 for the trip. If I wasn’t stuck in the casino waiting for a room so long I would be up. They owe me a hand pay plus!

You are definitely owed a handpay! I hope you at least recover a bit so you can do the things you planned!

Doesn’t photograph well due to the glare but have to mention what a great view there is from this room. Since I am at the very end of the strip I can see everything. I can see most of the buildings from my bed but also have a great Mountain View from the chairs. Although I always enjoyed my Bellagio fountain views, this is a very close second.

Taking my time this morning. No need to hurry to lose the small amt of money I have left. Sat at the desk to put on my makeup and felt something staring at me. Don’t you agree that this light is kinda creepy?

Great view:D Sorry yesterday so difficult checking in. Those pics of the lobby and everyone trying to check in were mind numbing. I feel sorry for the front desk people.

What is your room type and floor number if you don't mind? I'm staying at MB for the first time. I have a Strip View King reserved and am looking for a great view. We usually stay at Bellagio in a Fountain View and have been totally spoiled!

Having a bit more luck today and witnessed a unicow sighting! The lady two seats away hit it on $1.50 bet ending with $275. I got one bonus for $75 then it died on me. Can’t find the lucky lemmings I play yesterday. It’s maddening. I did find Slotsky which I never played but remember it from very old videos.

I’m on the 26th floor. Would have liked a little higher but I’m very happy with the view.

I reserved the same - king strip but with the issues at check in they tried to put me in a pool view. I agreed to take 2 doubles just to get the view. As a solo it’s almost better to have the 2nd bed to leave stuff on.

I think you will love it here. I think it’s a great venue.

Really surprised Disney didn’t sue them for using this duck. Looks familiar to me.

If it wasn't for your Amazon Prime Now SNAFU, I'd recommend ordering a knee brace (or a pack of two, I'm always losing one).
    I hate Vegas knee aches.
The ipad keyboard seems to be working out though..
I don't see your grace under fire and cute gifts leaving you hanging karma wise...

It was doing so well last trip I was optimistic. But great suggestion!

I had a CW today ask if she could give me a hug for handing her one. Some don’t care but the ones that really appreciate the gesture make the time and trouble worth it.

Lackluster lunch at noodles. I had myVEGAS $15 off $50 but no way to hit $50 so just ordered off the menu. I have a resort credit so no big deal.

Veggie egg rolls were good, ended up eating then all because the chicken pad Thai was super bland. They never asked for heat level. No spice at all. Chicken had little taste seemed almost boiled. Can’t recommend.

Turned out to be the best day so far despite not being able to do the things I had planned.

I took my time in the morning and iced my knee. Changed my strategy and it paid off. I bet more in the middle rather than max. I set a loss and win limit and tried to stick to it. Start with $100 cashed out if I got over $120. If I wanted to stay at the machine I put in another hundred and started again. After running thru $500 I cashed all the tickets, took what was over $500 and put it away and started again. Lots of ups and downs, sometimes losing the entire $100 but ended up in the black finally. Up $293 for today. It would have been $30 more but I got greedy after dinner.

Was one of the youngest at the buffet at 5pm. And that’s saying something. Free buffet courtesy of MyVegas. Wasn’t very hungry so just had a little meat and salad. The steak was tough, the turkey and ribs were great. No dessert - I have chocolate in the room.

Met some lovely people today and had fun. One CW asked if she could hug me when she got her gift bag.

Started raining a few minutes ago. Didn’t last long but never seen that before. The sound on the windows was scary before I realized it was rain,

Below is a photo dump from today. Thanks to all you for following!!!
