I think I've graduated from the Excal... Suggestions?

Personally, I would move my play to another players club (CET, Palms, or somewhere downtown if of interest). Your budget is a fair bit more than mine and I can stay at just about any CET property at anytime comped. That would open up several quality properties. I always struggled to get anything of interest from Mlife, even a few nights comped at Excalibur wasn't a guarantee.

 

Mirage is beautiful, but I'd say MB. Mirage on a few trips was actually bigger for their britches than Aria/Cosmo. I think it's because they did a GREAT job of carving out their spot....good property but mid-tier, so plenty of people pay, so they're less open to comped players who are mid tier.Mirsge was snootier to us than Aria or Cosmo ( both of those treat us great, despite mid tier)

Mandalay Bay has prettier rooms (floor to ceiling windows, big bathroom), a prettier casino, but their location makes them more customer-service friendly on garnering new players. My vote for you would be MB, then Mirage, Park last. Your Laughlin comment nailed it, Park just missed the mark.

 

If you are true RFB(all meals at all restaurants comp'd upfront, all drinks at all bars comp'd upfront, and your suite comp'd upfront)at Excal, that status isn't going to necessarily follow you to a higher property. Something to keep in mind.

 

Wow...that sounds great. I am thinking about asking for an upgrade to a Premier suite because it will be my birthday during my stay. Hey, can't blame me for trying I really like NYNY's casino. It seems open and airy (if that makes sense). I can't wait until that first week in October. First time actually spending it in Vegas and I plan on getting as many "Birthday Freebies" as I can. Will be staying 6 nights. Five at Luxor and one downtown at the 4Q's (never stayed here).

 

I think it's the middle suite I have, as there is a 1,200 sq/ft 'deluxe premiere', iirc.

I love Fremont, too. Think there is a tower at 4 Queens that has been refurbished, so I'd make sure you get put in that one if you can. Think there are a few threads that detail which tower is which.

I get good Mirage comps on what's very likely a lot less play than you describe, so they'd be my recommendation for you. Certainly several steps above Excal. As others have said, Luxor is getting dated, and the food options are really limited. Mirage's location, food, and pool area are so much better. I also find it a much more manageable size than MGM.

 

If you do a lot of trips I highly recommend staying at various properties to see how you feel about them. I'm another fan of the south central strip area, and one of the things i like about MLife is they have several properties I like to stay, but I can pretty much play where I want. So Excal and NYNY for some $5 craps play, Aria, Park MGM and Bellagio for $10 play (availability varying of course). Slots play can be just about anywhere, but I'm looking for the non-smoky casino (Aria being the best). In the late evening I'm tending to play where I stay, and it's important I don't have issues with the casino itself (or a very close by one) meeting my preferences.

When I stay at any MLife property I do focus play on those properties, and with Mirage isolated from the rest I've marked it off my list of places to stay (for now at least). I don't have a host (and don't really need one for how I do Vegas), but get plenty of room offers at all (and with some FP and resort credits). The offers do not always make sense to me (like getting a Fountain View Resort Tower King at Bellagio while only having a Park Ave. room offer at NYNY). On the times I've had no resort fee offers, that comes into my decision on where to stay as well, so I see myself more loyal to MLife as a whole right now than any individual property.

Also, one reason i am not focused on CET right now is because they have very few places that meet my preferences, and I really only look to PH there (too many of their casinos are too smoky for my taste, and so completely mark them off as places to stay). Cosmo would also be nice if I was just a slot player, but lack of low minimum craps keeps me from focusing on them other than some casual play (now if someone could combine Cosmo and PH, I'd have a new place to stay and play, and replace MLife).

 

I will caution and say if you go Aria or similar, it will be hard to *downgrade* back Excal in the future.
I got spoiled with Wynncore over the past few years, so a move to CET and PH, while certainly nice, lacked some things I grew accustomed too. Not complaining, but just my experience. I know a co-worker who experienced the same, when his solo trips he used to stay at Ballys, and now he and his wife exclusively stay at Cosmo. She hates Ballys lol.

Next step up in resort quality. Fun casino atmoshphere. Resort is a good size. Not to huge like MGM Grand. Cheap eats to nice steakhouse on same property. Rooms are decent. Same general location as excaliber.

 

You "think" you have graduated.

That is your home, you will always come back to it and feel comfy.

 

A step up from Excalibur - hmmmm let me think, there is a leech-infested swamp outside Ulan Bator that I think fits the bill

 

If you stayed that many times at Excal.....i surely wouldn't be so picky as to where to stay at next...
