Finally 10 days doing whatever i want 8/27 - 9/5

So it has been almost 2 years since my last trip in December. It was during the slow weeks before Christmas. As someone who doesn't gamble much i was done after 1 full week.

I promised myself next time it has to be during the summer so the day has more light and I can visit the pools.

Sooo.. here we go. Left my hometown this morning by train to Amsterdam Schiphol. Taking the train in the Netherlands is the real first gamble of this trip [emoji23]. Why you ask? The Dutch railways are notorious for delays and cancelled trains. No problem usually, but when your plane leaves at a certain time it's pretty much a gamble if you will make it in time or not.

This time no exception... [emoji19] After delays and a train in front of us broke down I arrived 50 min later than expected at Schiphol. Still enough time left because you expect it and take a train earlier[emoji2].

Now waiting at the lounge for my flight. I took another gamble by picking a paid preferred seat 5 min before check-in. I looked at the seat map and flight doesn't look that full. This paid seat was in an empty row and Dutch people are cheap lol so I hope all the others will pick the free seats.

For the first time it's a direct flight from Amsterdam. KLM started in June with this flight. First it was seasonal from June - October, but due to success they made it a year round destination yeahhhh.

Not sure if I take the wifi in the plane, €5 for 30mb is a bit crazy. No pics or post = I didn't take the wifi.

Report will be semi-live and mostly pictures. Don't want the live pressure. Expect pools, bars, gambling, shopping and maybe a trip to Zion.

Wow how long is that flight? I get antsy just going from the east coast.

 

Same, girl. My Husband wants me to go to Italy next year, and I reminded him that I’m already about to open the fuselage door and jump by the time I’m over Albuquerque on my way to Vegas. I don’t think I could do a 12+ hour flight. Not sober and awake anyway.

 

I am always amazed at how far people travel to get to Vegas. have a great flight and I’ll be following along.

 

Nice run good on the seats. I believe your leaving at the end of European tourist season, so good timing.

Arrived at airport. Chill flight. Taking a Lyft to Bally's and check-in. Never been to Bally's before reviews seem to be ok.

And if I'm correct I can use flamingo and Paris pool right?

My buddy @EastCoastVegasFan! tells me you can get into any pool if you charmingly glom onto a group going in. His last trip report has almost all the pools pics.

TYL (today you learned): your hour delays aren't the end of the world.

 

Flight time is ok. Normally it was 15-16 hours with a stop in London or somewhere in the us.

Immigrations was really quick. Lyft driver was at pickup point in 1 min. Why do people use taxi's anymore? And used kiosk for check-in. Touchdown -> room within 1 hour. Not bad for international flight.

Room is pretty nice paid $500 for 10 days and no resort fee (diamond).

Now time for some unpacking, take a shower and hit the strip. Most important task today.... Stay awake.
