MGM Back End Gaming Tiers?

So I recently visited my favorite MGM property to pick up a comp cruise voucher I recieved a promo in the mail for. My question is does anyone understand the actual back end tier rankings? I'm a gold member and will be platinum by this years cut off date (I'm something silly, like 1,500 tier credits away) but when I received my voucher they noted my gaming tier as tier 7. Does anyone one have any idea what this means?

I always recieve RFB comps during my stays and have an assigned "executive" host (I pokes around here enough to realize there is some discussion on wether the "executive" part matters in thier title or not) that goes above and beyond to ensure my happiness (show tickets, fancy dinning comps, the works).

I guess am asking because I do not consider myself a Mid or High Roller by any means... I average about a 30K THEO per trip with a bankroll under 5k for 3 or 4 nights 3 - 4 times a year. I hear others talk from both ends of the knowledge base about Vegas and Rewards Plans and it seems my experience is the exception not the rule...

So just looking for some perspective. Thanks!

 

30k Theo per trip on a $5000 bankroll? That seems way too high. Do you mean 30k tier credits? 30k Theo per trip would put you well into Noir status. If not I want to know more about what games you’re playing!

 

Lolz That is my bad. It's more around 10 - 15k at my base casino. I was looking at my YTD. I've only been able squeeze two trips in this year in addition to my voucher pickup trip.

I play around on the south end of the strip but always give the majority of my play to wherever I'm staying to keep up my back ends.

I'm just an average player. I typically play $1 slots ($5 - 9 bet) when I'm in solo sessioning for a few hours out of the day.

Then dump a few hundred in good ole' "Yours, Mine, Ours Hot Shots" at the end of the night with my special lady friend, chasing progressive that never come while we get tanked.

 

Is the OP confusing theo with coin in? My reaction is the same as @Elf70 . If your theo (not coin in) is 30k per trip, you're a mid-roller and maybe even classified as a strong player. If its even 15k per trip, you're a mid-roller
