    My Trip Report

    20190824_180414.jpg 20190824_180421.jpg 20190824_180458.jpg 20190824_194352.jpg 20190824_195859.jpg 20190824_200841.jpg This is my very first trip report!! Yay!

    Dates August 24th - Sep 1st.

    4 Queens/Golden Gate/MSS

August 24th : Got into Vegas at 4pm and took the shuttle to the rental center, Enterprise left the keys for the car in the cupholder which I plopped my water on top if, by the time I reached the gas station I realized I had no clue where the keys were or if I was even given the keys, it scared me for a few minutes lol, anyways disaster averted once I took a drink and found them! I dropped my buddy off at El Cortez and headed over to 4 Queens to check in, he couldnt get a comp here, I couldnt get a comp there. 4Q couldnt find me a smoking room, so they upgraded me to a suite, a couple of problems though, #1 it faces Fremont and on the 3rd floor, its loud and it sounds like Cheap Trick is in the room with me! #2 I see no ash trays, so I still dont think they got me into a smoking room. Around 7 we headed over to Bellagio for the "gourmet" buffet. Food was so so, they have poke now at the sushi station. My gripe however was when I asked if they still had caviar, the guy didnt say yes, he didnt say no, he just grabs a heaping spoonful of the big orange caviar and throws it onto the rest of my food. Like dude....that's not the kind I am looking for, but thanks for making everything else on my plate taste like salty fish. Do you not have the black caviar...you know, the one people want? He said not right now....its always been my opinion that what makes the "gourmet" buffet "gourmet", was the sturgeon caviar. If you dont have it, I'd sure like to know that before I pay for it. Anyways, back to 4Q to do some gambling. John (my gambling buddy) now has a headache, he lays down on the couch in my room and crawls up into the fetal position like a pansy. No dude, here...take some ibuprofen and quit being a little girl. We finally go downstairs to play some video poker at Kings Bar, I have one blood mary and call it a night once midnight rolls around, I have turned into the little girl. Waking up this morning I see his text from 4am saying he is up $700 on blackjack at El Cortez, I am down $100.

@Grant1982 - I appreciate your TR. One suggestion though . . it often looks nicer in you embed the pictures into the text body.

You can do this after the fact by:
    1) selecting Edit
    2) select "more options"
3)position the cursor where you want the picture to appear
4)On the picture that you want to place, select "full image"

That way we can enjoy your full TR without going back and forth between the text and the photos.

    Just a suggestion.

20190825_100521.jpg Update, down $600 already after a bad run on VP at 4Q and blackjack at The D, eating at Siegel's inside El Cortez now, waiting on my chicken and waffles!

Loving your trip report, but little girls are as strong as little boys. This is coming from a father of a 27 year old little girl, and father of a 25 year old little boy. Cheers!

Update, lost another $200 at the Vue bar before retiring to the room for a nap! Great bartenders though. In line to eat now at the Wynn buffet.

Total balance = down $800, that's just one hand I've got this!

Lunch at Wynn, excellent as always, best buffet in Vegas aside from Sterling Brunch, in my opinion.

Glad you liked the buffet. I ate there twice last trip, once was brunch and once was dinner. Both times were basically the same things but dinner was more pricey and tasted like leftovers from the lunch buffet.

Lost another $100 on VP at 4Q, then moved over to the high limit room inside the D for some BJ, that's when this happened.

    20190825_170425.jpg

Total balance, down $300. Comeback initiated!

Dinner at Cornerstone inside Gold Coast, Bone in Ribeye Oscar style. Let me say....I have had a LOT of steaks in my life, this is always one of my favorites! 20190825_204134.jpg

After VP at Gold Coast, and more high limit room BJ at The D, still down $500 for the trip, I'll take it given that I am going into my 3rd day.

Now it's time to check out of 4Q and head to Mt Charleston to do some hiking, I'm going to try not to overdo it because I'm going to the Grand Canyon tomorrow.

Nothing like a good hike to remind yourself how out of shape you are!! Did the Mary Jane's Fall trail.

    That hike looks awesome!

I want to see some chipmunks! There were a ton on my hikes in Lake Tahoe last month.
