You drove past 3 Popeyes on your normal drive? There isn’t one for 90 miles around here.

Have not tried their new sandwich yet. Will be hard pressed to beat Chick-fil-A.

But Popeyes fried chicken is the best fast food fried chicken in my area. Church’s was the best but they are no longer close to me. Also on tuesdays they have a 2 piece deal (thigh and leg) for $1.69

I don't eat chicken too much anymore, but I do like Popeye's when I want to indulge in junk / fast food.
I get chicken tenders. I love their beans and rice. fries are good too if you have a grease craving.

Popeyes is the best fried chicken fast food in history. I won’t eat at KFC anymore since I discovered Popeyes about 20 or so years ago.

It IS pretty tasty, as far as fast food chicken sandwiches go. It seems that Chicago must have been a test market of sorts, as the one down the street from me has had these sandwiches for at least 3-4 months. I didn't realize they hadn't rolled out nationally until just recently...

The one that used to be in Flourtown was one of my first fast food experiences. I loved it. Wait, I think it was Flourtown, that could have been a Taco Bell. Hmm, repeat the question?

    :haha:

Should I get the urge to mainline anti-physician cuisine, I'd be inclined to lean towards Popeye's. Based on memory, not so much for the savory poulet frit, but for the sides, in particular red beans and rice et pommes de terre et jus cajun. Not sure how many cajuns actually eat that, but still.

As the years have gone by, I've noticed my tolerance for things fried has diminished. Just part of the evolutionary process, I s'pose.

There is a funny meme going around about this but not sure I can post it here.

The Popeye's by me has the opposite in customer service than Chic-Fil-A, just terrible

Two pieces of spicy fried chicken every Tuesday for $1.69 is my favorite treat. If I'm hungry, I get a double order! Their red beans and rice also put to shame any of the sides at chick fil a. Personally, the chick-fil-a experience is highly overrated - especially when you consider they aren't cheap. Just like a certain west coast burger joint with a cult following. (I've got my armor on now, so let it fly!)

The service at Chic-Fil-A is hands down the best in fast food. I’ve been there when the line was out the door, and was eating in less the 15 minutes. The managers will step in and man the registers if it’s busy. Some managers would find that beneath them. Their spicy chicken sandwich is the best, but I haven’t tried Popeyes yet.

There was some social media "feud" between fast food restaurants last week and some news outlet did a taste test of four chicken sandwiches, saying Popeye's was the best. Now there are lines, because people are sheep with way too much time on their hands.

I stopped going to the Popeye"s around me because of the lousy service. I pull up to the drive through window and they tell me there will be a 15 minute wait for chicken. What? A chicken place that does not have chicken ready? Bitch please.
