Considering going early to mid October for a Wed through Friday (only time that works for me). Does anyone know if there is any life in the place? a decent crowd? DJ's? I visited the Jack in Cleveland on a weekday in spring and it was a funeral parlor. Have not been to AC in close to 20 years and when I went it was fairly lively but that was when it was basically the only option besides Vegas.

I understand its not going to be like a Friday in June but not looking forward to a handful of people gambling away their social security checks

If you arrive by mid October, the blue hairs will have spend their SS checks by then, so you’ll have your pick of machines. Haha! I would think Borgata would have a decent crowd. I’ve actually been on the beach in Mid October, so that may be an option.

I am hoping @smerrian, @Wallew, and @spdandpwr chime in with their recommendations.

I'd expect it to be below capacity on the weekdays but pick up for Friday.

"the blue hairs" - lol - can't laugh TOO loud, I have my AARP card! I'm likely staying at Caesars - but wont make the trip if its going to be empty and with ancient crowd - hopefully that does not read as too patronizing?

Certainly don't expect it to be full on a weekday in fall (though Vegas ALWAYS seems alive) but the Cleveland experience was off putting ... a few dozen people it seemed. I'm social so like a lively blackjack table for example - only table with more than one person had a sullen young man and an older Asian man who either spoke no English or was not inclined to let on that he did (maybe I am just the vibe killer? lol)

A Wednesday in October at CP is going to be slow, with a blue hair crowd.

I'd avoid Caesar's AC in the fall, it generally tends to die down. To be clear, the numbers don't suggest that, but Caesar's has an incredible amount of high rollers / asian gamers which tends to give the impression that it's pulling in bigger crowds. Hard Rock and Borgata actually have the bigger crowds.

When exactly are you going in October? Any chance you can extend to Saturday? There's a few of us in town in mid-October. I'd recommend Harrah's if you're CET (that's where I'm staying). Otherwise Borg or Hard Rock are worth your time and money. Harrah's brings a younger, livelier crowd with music until 6am lol. There's also an excellent spa, indoor pool, and cooking classes to keep you occupied. Also, the restaurants at Harrah's are the best in the CET portfolio.

I think Harrah's and Borgata will have a nice crowd in October ... that's where I would stay.

Same here, but I'm folically deficient although I've been an AARP member for several years.

The great thing about AC is there are 9 casinos, 6 on the boardwalk and 3 in the marina, so you can change your venue quickly.

Best crowds and most lively will probably be Borgata and Hard Rock. Fridays are busy at all the casinos so no problems finding crowds the last day.

@sceej Alot is going to depend on what you are looking for. We were just there over the weekend (Thursday-Monday) and even a summer Thursday is considerably less crowded than the weekends. We go often in the fall and winter and we like the build up to the weekend that a Thursday night brings. We only stay at Caesars and are in our early 30s. My wife likes it because the table limits are usually lower Thursday than Friday/Saturday. The book, which is incredible, should have the Thursday night NFL game on, and whatever College game will be Wednesday night. If it's a good Thursday night game that will draw a crowd. As to the gambling it will not be crazy packed, but we do prefer that. If the weather is still really nice, it will be more crowded by people looking to get one more weekend away before the weather gets awful.

The only saving grace to Caesars over Borgata or Harrah's is that the boardwalk is right there so changing the environment can be easier or hanging out outside can be nice too. Most, if not all of the restaurants will be open as well.

October/November the more active midweek places seem to be Harrah's, Borgata, Trop and sometimes Bally's (surprisingly). And Hard Rock was always busy.
