My wife and I were in Vegas las week and just wanted to do a quick review. The Flamingo is our home base when we are in Vegas and yet we have never tried it before. We try and do one nicer meal per trip but we avoided going to Center Cut because of the poor reviews. Last week we knew we wanted to go to one of the Caesars properties steakhouses and use our comps so we figured since we were already there, why not give them a try. We were so glad we did. We don’t have many complaints at all. We asked for a booth so it would be a bit quieter and away from the front. She sat us at a nice private circular booth. Our waiter was great and food came out very quickly. I got the bone in ribeye and wife got the 10oz prime rib. Both cooked perfectly and were very good. I not only ate mine, but finished my wife’s as well. We shared two sides. The garlic mashed and sautéed mushrooms. Both also very good. Wife had an amaretto sour and it was made perfect too. Our one issue was minor, and that was the lighting in the booth. Could have used a candle or something to light it up some, but that was minor. All in all it was a wonderful meal and we will definitely be dining there on future trips.

We ate there a while back. My steak was fine, the Mrs. didn't like her chicken thing (then again, it's called a "Steak" house, not a "Hen" house. Think it through ;)). I'd say it's on par with most of the other resort steak houses. Our objective is to sample our way up and down the strip, so it's gonna be some time before CC is back in the rotation. But I agree with you, nothing really wrong with the place.

We ate at Center Cut last year while staying at the Flamingo. I enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere and the service was excellent.

Sorry. Didn’t take a pic. Thought about it but it was so dark I didn’t want to draw attention with a flash. It’s a shame if the rumors are true about Bobby Flay’s. We don’t care for the high price, high profile, small portion places with weird options on the menus.

Ditto the happy hour. Ate at the bar twice my last trip and enjoyed it immensely.

Yep, Oct 1. I had a reservation for when I got there later in the month, and they called me, and let me know that they're closing for "remodeling".

Too bad, I was planning to eventually have a steak at their bar when I was by myself.

Oh no, I said it. It drives me nuts when we go to a place like a steak house and she doesn't order steak. Steak. It's what they do. That's the whole point of the restaurant. We go to a burger joint: chicken fingers. AAaarrggh!

I had dinner there last year and it was very good. The Caesar salad was perfectly made. Donny Osmond stopped in at the table next to ours for somebody's birthday party. Hope they recover from the "remodeling".

When I was in town in June I ate at Ruth's Chris my first night and the bartender told me they too were closing soon for remodeling. Interesting on the timing of these CET places to close
