Yes. For the Bconnected comp Points. Only Sapphire and higher can earn these comp points to apply to food purchases, gift shop purchases, slot play, or cash.

And I'd also like to add that after 6 months these points EXPIRE after no play activity.

I dunno. That's reason to continue playing but only if you like Boyd. I don't like them as much anymore so I don't really care nowadays.

After a lot of soul searching I've found that for me, who once was a very loyal Boyd player, all of this BS by Boyd has me not caring to visit Vegas for the time being.

Because the other programs out there is not really that great to me either.

Only because I was hoping Sapphire = easier weekend comps for the upcoming Vegas wedding. I haven't paid for a hotel for years (except resort fees).

Yes, right...for the Points to use for food, gift shop, liquor store, etc... and..
    the future rooms comps!

I also, have NOT paid for a room or resort fee, or parking, in over 10 years.
My next trip, I am staying 2 nights at M Resort, and though the room is comped, I DO have to pay the $24.99/2 resort fee!
Stings a bit, right now, but I'll be hoping I get it waived.

Yes, I was asking about MGinCO's question. If the only point of playing is to get to Sapphire for the year, then why would you stop playing with Boyd after that? You'd need to play more to earn points to get the benefit of being Sapphire (the very ability to earn points). To answer your question specifically, I doubt it makes a difference on room comps, I'd think those are strictly tied to your play.

Yes, even Ruby members can get room offers. Based on your play. But the Bconnected comp points can only be earned after reaching Sapphire, which to me is the biggest BS I have ever seen in players programs.

Gambling is gambling. A Ruby player is risking money the same as other tier players. It's an insult to me after signing up as a new player to be told, no you cannot earn comp points because you are a low tier. Just leaves a bad taste in your mouth so to speak.

And even when you drop down to Ruby level. Boyd is essentially saying, you cannot earn comp points because you didn't gamble enough. Bad, bad, boy. Go sit in the corner.

What they should be doing is fostering the atmosphere of a casino that appreciates our patronage, no matter what level you are at. This shows they care, because not everyone is the same as far as bankroll levels.

Honestly, at least for my style of play, CET weekend room comps are much easier than Boyd right now (only as of this year).

You'd want to do a status match to Diamond though to avoid the resort fees (I did IHG to Wyndham to CET).

I get comp offers most of the time for Sunday-Thursday. Did this locally (Blue Chip) as well as the Cal and MSS in Vegas. Those were weekdays, though, and I rarely see a weekend comped. I am just covering my bases here for the wedding in March/April/May/June - when the fuck ever it is. They are going in November to figure it all out. It may not even happen in Vegas - the girl is feeling too much pressure from the groom's mother to do it ASAP and it makes her want to postpone it to 2021... So who knows.

I was going to go in January for 2 nights, then spring break, then August... So everything is up in the air. We'll see how it goes.

Maybe you have a point there. Because I am a Sapphire and my room offers is ANY day of the week.

My suggestion is if you ever get the wedding date down in concrete and it falls on a weekend give Boyd a call and ask them if they would comp you for that weekend. If they can't maybe they would give a reduced rate based on your play. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

    Good Luck!

Hoping for that. The wedding is most likely on the Strip, which I don't have comps for. I do have the Excalibur a couple weekends here and there, but not many in the window I am estimating. I don't mind the Excalibur as it will be yet another hotel checked off my list. I have a feeling I'll end up staying downtown (which is totally fine - I found Lyft to be super cheap on my recent trip). In fact, it *might* be the first time I ever stayed downtown the *entire* trip without a Strip hotel - which would be a new (and fun!) experience!

One of our friends just signed up at the Orleans last march and accrued 640 tier credits and is still Ruby of course. Her current offers are: Up to 3 nights comped, $10 in food and in slot play. No restrictions on days stated.
I am currently Sapphire with a little over 2000 tier credits and my offers are: 3 nights comped, $30 in food and slot play at the Orleans, Gold Coast or Sams.
Only stated this for comparison of offers between high Ruby and low Sapphire, which shows not really a whole lot.

What I still can't understand is why they went with theoretical loss for STATUS, yet once you are there points are still a set coin in, even on video poker. It's like the owner's son reversed the two in the presentation and nobody had the balls to correct him. Status costs little to nothing, yet points do cost a casino money.

Last month and this month I got mailers from MSS. 4 comped nights. So I guess the added credits are correct for my account. I now have 2950 or so points so I am a solid sapphire. Guess it's better since they made changes because I only could get to ruby before the changes. Never got comped nights when I was ruby.

My mailer is giving me some booking incentives, $100 in slot dollars or dining credits. But this is only for 1 week in November. Another week I have a chance for swipe and win dollars, they call it Viva Las Kiosk swipe and win. Another week I have a chance at the $10,000 Royal challenge poker tourney, giving me comped nights.

So I guess the comped nights increases as my tier credits go up.

I just hope that they keep adding extra credits so I remain at least sapphire. Doubt I would play enough to get to the next level.

I can only state my offers as a Sapphire but I get three nights at MSS/Cal which aren't normally restricted unless perhaps it was New Year's or something special. There are times where I can get two free weekday nights at places like Suncoast, Sam's, Gold Coast, or the Orleans under the category of "Special Discounts & Exclusive Room Offers for Sapphire Members". I stayed at the Suncoast for two nights free on that offer in May. There doesn't seem to a pattern since I've checked some nights and there was a rate given and other times it was comped.

Is there an easier way to see which nights are comped? Like a calendar? I have to constantly change the dates to see what is what. I don't see a calendar method

Just dial 1-800. They can tell you faster and you can say “let me check with the wife”. If you don’t like the answer.

Ok so, I was waiting to post this until I got to finish my conversation with Boyd, but apparently they are as good at returning phone calls as they are being transparent. I finally received a call from some type of manager from Sams Town Tunica, here was the online message that I wrote them.

"Hello, I have a question regarding tier credits. I engage in conversation among many online gambling forums, and it seems several members have received bonus tier credits lately, some people have received them, some people have not, nobody is quite sure why. A week or two ago when the points were undergoing "maintenance" for 2 weeks, the points came back up for a brief period where it showed my tier credits being roughly 5,000 points higher than they were, after the site went back down however, they reset back to where they are now. Today I am reading a comment from someone who was told this about the "bonus tier credits" from someone inside your company, "In early July, we did a tier credit true up. This was the sum of all partial tier credits owed to you. For you, it was a total of 13,100 bringing your current total to 24,184. Please let me know if you have any other questions.", this cannot be correct, for starters I do not believe he removed his card from a machine 11,000 times in order for his tier credits to round up that many times, it would also mean that I somehow managed to remove my card from a machine at exactly the right moment, every single time I played this last year (since my tier credits did not change). If you look at the history of my play, I think you will find I used to be very loyal to the Boyd brand, I used to do 90% of my play at Boyd casinos, I used to talk highly of Boyd, and send my friends to Boyd properties. However now Boyd has made it nearly impossible for a VP player to obtain Emerald status, which is fine....it's certainly within your rights to do that, I would however like to know why some players have been given bonus tier credits, and some have not, I would like to know why for a day your site showed my tier credits were much higher (and emerald was in site), and they were pulled away from me. I would like to return my play to Boyd full time, but at the moment it is not looking like my play is very valued at all, outside of the host I have in Biloxi. If you could please give me some insight on how to obtain these bonus tier credits, like so many others have gotten, or why you took away the credits you gave me during the downtime, it would be very appreciated, thank you."

I finally got a call regarding this about 2 weeks after I sent it, he claimed that he has never heard of "true up". He doesn't show where my tier credits were temporarily bumped up during the downtime, which I was fine with, since I can see how an error would happen during that time. Now for the real interesting thing....he was not aware of any bonus tier credits being issued, UNTIL I logged onto here and found a picture of a mailer someone had received and read him what the mailer said verbatim. He said oh, I know what that is...we had started a program and then suspended it, and then I got a call from a dumb customer asking a dumb question and had to click over, I begged him to call me back in 20 minutes after my cut off time (salesman here). He said he would...but he didn't. So, that's what information I was able to find, apparently there was some program they were running where people were getting massive amounts of bonus points, but allegedly they suspended that program, if you got bonus points, your lucky I suppose, if you didn't, your unlucky I suppose.

@Grant1982 Just curious. Were all your TCs earned outside of Nevada?
