Since you are going for Ceasars on your AC trip, make sure to refuse a Forum Tower room unless you like a view of the lobby. Ocean or Centurion Towers would be fine. Higher the better.

The only perk to being one of the first 10 DC holders on the Ballys side is that the beach bar does cocktail service on that side and there is not option for beverage service on the Caesars side. This seems like an incredibly short sighted view on their part, since they could fill that side up with Diamond card holders and make money on beverage sales.

Ok we are booked for next M-W nights. Looks like she booked a Forum room so we will have to see about changing that. I was hoping for only two nights as work is just nuts now. I hope not to pull a Tony but, stuggling to keep up with Client requests right now. Someone is not going to be happy - just need to choose who!

I see the air show is on but, I don't really see any concerts. I am not sure if we will relax on the beach but, will definitely walk it. We are driving. Looks like 7 1/2 according to Mr. Google. I looked at flights but really by the time you get to the airport and do all you have to do, that 1 1/2 hour flight quickly turns to 4-5 so not really worth it to me. Any other tips for first timers welcome!

If you can make time head over to Borg for a visit. 100% worth the time to visit. You can easily walk back over to Harrah's for a look also.

I have read that the air show draws up to 500,000 visitors, this will be held on Wednesday August 21. They have practice the day before, so some folks just come down for that and avoid the crowds.

When driving in on the Atlantic City Expressway, you will have a $3 toll and a $.75 toll. Or just blow through the EZpass lanes, not sure if they can come after folks from Ontario for unpaid tolls, but that would be very un-Canadian. For some reason, I never received a bill for driving on the 407 in Ontario. Just after the Expressway ends, you will see the Caesars Coliseum Garage ahead and to the left, its really convenient.

Here is the link to Atlantic City Weekly as a pdf file: https://www.atlanticcityweekly.com/eedition/ . This is also available for free at many restaurants and at the front desk of Caesars. This is published every Thursday and has events for the weekend and upcoming week. There may not be any headliners during the week, but there is live entertainment in many casino bars, lounges and other venues. Here is a link to the website https://www.atlanticcityweekly.com/ You will want to check out Hard Rock and make sure to venture to the lobby bar for live music or some VP.

Make sure you hit the Duty Free store at the Rainbow Bridge, the liquor stores in AC are small, expensive and in poor locations. Besides, they don't sell that awesome Alberta Premium Rye Whisky, good stuff doesn't travel.

It won't be easy to relax on the beach during the airshow but you'll enjoy seeing it.

    I can’t believe I’m doing this ....

I have had low grade fevers and headaches everyday since Tuesday. I went to work Wednesday and Thursday , lasted two hours of no productivity before returning home. Didn’t go in on Friday and skipping today. My wife felt crappy all weekend but seems to be better.

I missed hard and soft deadlines last week. I am not sure what I have but, it’s pissing me off! I feel good for an hour then like crap. I haven’t missed a week of work in 30 years (mono in my 20’s)

We have been going at it really hard the last four years so maybe this was someone’s way of telling me to slow down- just not the few days off I had in mind:(

Debating whether to go to doc, I feel like crap but, not quite at deaths door. I will probably be told to just take it easy and call if things get worse .

Anyway, best to postpone AC. I will commiserate with Tony on postponed trips....

Sorry to hear that. Please take care of your health. The casinos will always be there.
