My daughter got me started on "My Favorite Murder" and I heard their live show from Red Rocks Casino, which was highly entertaining. It covered Ted Binion's murder and another previously unknown (to me) Circus Circus performer. Has anyone heard any others that were Vegas related or otherwise that they could recommend? Here's the link to the aforementioned podcast. https://www.myfavoritemurder.com/138-live-at-the-red-rocks-ballroom-in-las-vegas/ Thanks
You may enjoy True Crime Guys, @wesraft. Their podcasts cover some Vegas-related crimes (as well as others). They have a humorous approach but the stories they tell are chock full of interesting info. *warning for adult content and language* I like this particular installment: Jose Vigoa: "The Scarface of Sin City" .https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/true-crime-las-vegas/e/52594229?autoplay=true
Yet another to check out Thanks! I just remembered another one that I heard awhile back. Not specifically Vegas, but Vegas-adjacent you might say. It's about the bombing of Harvey's Casino in Reno. A CRAZY story that I had never heard of before, but is described in great detail, with a lot of humor thrown in. It's on a podcast called The Dollop. https://m.soundcloud.com/the-dollop/309-big-john-and-harveys. There is even video of the bombing on YouTube.
There is a very thorough telling of the Ted Binion story in the book "Positively Fifth Street" by James McManus. It's a good read intertwined with McManus' improbable run in the pre-Moneymaker WSOP.
I can confirm I worked at Harvey’s a few years after that bombing and it was regularly discussed in employee meetings
