This is an amazing "Vegas Secret' exposed. The view and the pictures from there are incredible!

Hard to break the habit of checking this thread. I keep waiting for an NFC update that he's had enough of home and made his triumphant return to Sin City

Lol, here’s something to hold everyone over in the meantime.

Went out with family tonight to the Pearl Chinese restaurant on Toronto’s harbourfront to celebrate my nana’s birthday. First photo is the “crystal fold”, which is beef and vegetables in a crisp lettuce leaf, eaten like a taco. Second photo is some of our main course items. That sizzling beef is as good as it looks.

I have just about nothing in my fridge right now, so I did some stocking up... including getting the cheeses for the grilled cheese, which you’ll see tomorrow

Current gameplan for tomorrow is to get up around 7:30, and then go for a coffee to round up all of my must-do tasks for now that I’m home. Then gotta get started on laundry, will be doing the grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch, and I’m meeting up with Temple for dinner. I brought home the six IPAs I bought for him at Albertson’s, and he doesn’t know I did that, so that should make for a nice surprise.

Should I just carry on this trip report for like a week or so, so that followers can get bored of my home life, instead of going into withdrawals of my Vegas life? :)

If you take the grilled cheese to Woodbine, eat it there, then try to turn $100CAD into $300CAD, Sonya might let you slide:evillaugh:

Enthralling report. The come down from that should be interesting! Any chance of 'trip round-up' favourite place to stay, hotel, food place etc, thing that suprised you.

And to think you weren't going to do a TR!

Only if I get to change the title of the thread to something like...
"NFC Caved But Didn't Cave (Spoiler:He Totally Caved) And Now He Is Home Doing Home Stuff, For Your Voyeuristic, Stalking Pleasure"

I texted NFC an hour ago with a picture of my local Sam's Club and informed him that if he's ever in Chicago, my particular location does not have bags. However, I did also inform him that they are still selling pillows (two queens) from the Bellagio.

No grilled cheese footage just yet. On account of general tiredness and the usual post-travel depression, I didn’t get out of bed until 5:00 pm yesterday or today. The blower on the AC at my house is out too, which definitely doesn’t lend itself well to having energy. Plans with Temple for dinner were at 6:00, so I just got showered and dressed and went straight to that.

Tried to bring the IPAs down for him. Seems I packed them in a way that did some damage to the Albertson’s bag. Yikes. No sight more painful than this :(

We went to Tabule, a Middle Eastern restaurant in central Toronto. Never been disappointed there and today was no exception. Started off with some hummus, eggplant, and grape leaves stuffed with rice... Temple did a chicken and lamb skewer mixed plate, and I did all lamb

Went for some gelato after, and now I’m getting a Timmie’s coffee, as I absolutely and positively have to be productive for the next few hours

Hoping I’ll be adapted back to a normal schedule tomorrow. Believe me, I’m just as excited about that grilled cheese as you are! :)

Done! :) let’s confuse the latecomers as they go into a read that will inevitably become 110+ pages

Uhh... I don’t fold most of my laundry. I’m much more of a “leave it loose in a basket until I feel like putting it away somehow or until I do another load whichever comes first” type.

You needed the sturdy Sam’s club bag to carry your drinks

Dinner looked like a good reason to get out of bed
