This a great report. This right here is why I read TRs. Reminds me of @zigzagging's exploits from 2017.

Beautiful Frankie's pics. Did you make everyone move for a clear shot? Curious as to time of day for those pics? Time stamp is 6:24pm. At least a dozen ppl everytime I have visited. Loving the pics and report!!!

Where the heck is this flower machine. The only place I've seen a machine like this is at the airport in my home town of El Paso.

Nice pics of Frankie's. Going in Oct. with my friends who love Tiki Bars. Told them they have two options Frankies which is more dive-ish or Golden more clean. They chose Frankie's....that's why we are friends ;P.

Yesterday morning I went to the airport to pick up some friends. We drove straight to Frankie’s Tiki Room. The bar was empty at 8 am, but the tunes were still pumping and the drinks as fruity as ever. After a few drinks we went to the Mirage where they are staying. I love watching the fish at the hotel registration. I wouldn’t mind being responsible for diving in there to clean the aquarium

After walking around Mirage gambling some uneventful craps for a while we decide to head to Cosmo to get lunch at Lardo. Our sandwiches and fries are great and we decide to go play some video poker. I start out betting $25 a hand and quickly get a couple 4 of a kinds. We step it up to $125 a hand and are graced with 4 Aces on Double Double Bonus for a nice $20,000. Soon after 4 Fours come up for $10,000. After only putting $2550 into a machine the day before, I now have vouchers totaling $47,500. I decide to take a break from gambling and just watch my friends gamble.

We spend a few hours roaming around Cosmo, grabbing drinks from The Chandelier Bar, and hanging out on the balcony watching the fountains and commotion below. There’s a nice red helicopter that keeps flying very close to the buildings. Not sure if someone paid a lot of money for that 30 minute ride or if they were filming something. It was surreal watching them buzz by our balcony. We noticed there were no other helicopters in the area, so the airspace was closed for the fly bys. As soon as they were done, about 30 helicopters came by one by one.

We spend way too much time in the room as we get ready to go to Rose.Rabbit.Lie. for dinner. The caviar tacos and Beef Wellington were the highlights of the meal. The entertainment is fun, the drinks are exceptional and unique, and overall the experience was fun to do once. After dinner we walked to Planet Hollywood to play craps. Lost a few thousand, but am still sitting up about $35,000 for the trip.

Today is my last day in town. I plan to gamble, gamble, gamble, drink, and gamble. Maybe some other extra curriculars thrown in there for good measure.

Squalls out on the gulf stream,
    Big storms coming soon.
I passed out in my hammock,
God, I slept way past noon.
Stood up and tried to focus,
I hoped I wouldn't have to look far.
I knew I could use a Bloody Mary,
So I stumbled next door to the bar.

I can't figure this board out.

There are three pages devoted to grilled cheese sandwiches and split pea & ham soup on another report for Christ's sake and this brother is a living, breathing Vegas dream come true and...crickets.

    Congratulations on the huge DUBYA's.

Only seen one report on this forum where anybody won over $15,000 before (that kid who won over $100,000 K a few years ago playing BJ @ MGM).

Great luck on the final run, sir.

I agree - the dive bar tour alone was gold!

Are you referring to the epic @jdvegas trip report where he won over $250k one night?

From 7 to 11 am this morning I hung out at the high limit bar at Cosmo playing any and every variation of poker and keno on the bar tops as well as 81 hands of baccarat at a $400 average bet. All those multiple hands and multiplier games make it hard to go back to single hand poker.

After a couple hours of video poker my $10500 buy in was at $8500. I took $5500 to baccarat and colored up with $8000. Had a few hand pays along the way. My first one was before I signed up for Fastpay so I got a “Jackpot” voucher without a comma. Think of all the ink they could save if all the vouchers left the commas out. Generated 3 entries (5000 points each) for the slot giveaway tonight. They are going to draw a bunch of names for $5,000 free play at 6. You don’t have to be present to win. That’s how they get you.

The baccarat table I was at doesn’t take commission on the banker. Instead, they only pay half on a certain outcome. Because of that slightly higher house edge I only bet player. The tables up in Talon take commission.

Really had a good time hanging out with the bartender in the high limit room. We talked about so many shared interests. The bartenders and entire staff in there are amazing company. It helps when you are taking care of them. The dealers split tips from the whole casino for a given shift. That includes Talon and the triple zero roulette wheels. The bartenders take tips from only their shift. So if you notice their shift is ending, close out and tip them. They will be appreciative, and they will never ask you to do this.

After coloring up at baccarat I took my over sized black chips to a $15 craps table. Those big boys don’t fit in the rack very well. Once the dice come my way I was down a few hundred. 30 minutes later I was up $2600. Should have pressed harder. The crew made about $1500 in tips. Everyone had a blast. Well, except for that chump who was playing the don’t pass.

I’m starting to feel withdrawal from dive bars so I think we will hit one up soon. We also could use some lunch. Any recommendations for a bahn mi?

“I've always had a love of cards, ever since I was a little kid. I think poker, as a system, describes the chaos of the world. Our sudden reversals, our freak streaks of fortune. The belief that the next hand can save you, and the inevitable failure of the next hand to save you. I think that describes my world view pretty well.”
    - Colton Whitehead

If I was looking for a banh mi I’d hit up Spring Mountain. Co Anh Sandwich and Noodles looks good.
