Momofuku IS the best on the strip, however, paying $16-$17 a bowl is crazy, better to go to Chinatown and hit Monta ramen or any of the other ramen joints

Absolutely agree with Momofuku. Get the pork buns while you’re at it.

It’s a question of perspective. Sure, $16 for ramen in a vacuum is outrageous. But $20 for lunch at a celebrity restaurant on the strip? Totally in line with what I’d expect.

What is the cost of getting to an off-Strip site -- time, money, opportunity cost? Stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime comes to mind.

It is the Time factor for me since we only planned to stay at the Strip the whole 2 days that we are in Vegas.

If you like Pork/Pork belly, I highly recommend splitting an order of Pork Belly Buns and either splitting an order of pork belly ramen and adding an item, or pork belly ramen for both of you.

My dining companion on the second trip kept asking me if we needed to order more food, and I told her to wait. She was thankful that she waited.

Yes, but the broth is sooooooo rich and flavorful. If you look at the recipe in his cookbook, you will see why . . . . . worth going just to say "been there, done that"!!

That's where all great food starts, with solid building blocks.

I'm always in search of good Ramen, so I have to give Momofuku a try during my next trip. A lot of Asian restaurants are doing Ramen nowadays, but it's not always easy to find the really outstanding places. A good rich and flavorful broth, as well as the use of freshly made Ramen noodles are the key to good Ramen. I particularly like Miso Ramen, but the Pork Belly Ramen that DaiLun recommends really sound good.

You can get 5 Identity points for every $1 at all Cosmo restaurants, including Momofuku! Just have to give them your player's card when you pay the bill
Points accumulate quickly when dining at Cosmo
