Forgot to take a picture... I saw a bank of four more $0.03 slot machines at Riverside. Right between the up/down escalator to the boat dock and the Losers Lounge.

I swear I haven't seen such a thing anywhere else.

Bingo update... we’re in order! Did $140 in add-ons per day for a total of $280 extra. Itemized below. I could pretend to know what this all means, but I won’t.

It also came with a fan and these daubers. I’ll probably just leave them behind at the event tomorrow, I have no use for these things

Cool side note, I made a friend at the slot tournaments at Plaza on Friday (we’ll call her “Washington”) who I ran into at bingo last night. We’ve got quite a bit in common, as she also does remote work just like I do, so our Vegas trips seem to take a pretty similar pace.

As I was registering for Super Bingo today, I was just about to ask about sitting next to Washington, when getting my seat assigned. Turns out that when she registered earlier today, she asked if she could be seated next to me! Thought that was an awesome coincidence

Gameplan is now to do an hour of work, do the 7:00 bingo session with my $25 matchplay, head to Cal to get my prime rib, and then back to the room to do a bull run on this stupid task I need to have done ASAP which is just busy work.

Then for tomorrow, aiming to do the continental breakfast right when it opens, go off to the pool for a couple hours, and then hit the early bird sessions as Super Bingo kicks off for the day.

Will be wearing my flamingoes outfit tomorrow too. But not with the Longhorn hat this time... it isn’t as funny up here on Fremont :)

Side note, as I’m working, I’m playing some ZZ Top on the Luxe room’s Amazon Alexa. Look what song just came on :)

Skipping bingo. Only wanted to play to use my $25 matchplay. With this big of a crowd (naturally, since it’s super bingo right now) that makes my odds of winning considerably slimmer. An hour of my time is way too valuable right now given the work obligations that I have, so I’d rather forfeit the value of my matchplay than spend an hour playing bingo at these mathematically lower odds. Plus, I’m playing two straight days of bingo starting tomorrow. So I’ll still be getting my bingo fix one way or another.

Seated at the Cal right now, chowing down on some salad bar before my prime rib. My body is thanking me so hard right now for these green vegetables.

Also, who just came up and tapped me on the shoulder? None other than @brewyourown once again! Wish we’d ran into each other prior to entry, I’d have loved to have a chance to share a meal with a fellow VMB-er and talk Vegas.

Planning to hit the single deck blackjack table here again after this meal with the $40 I would have played on bingo. I’ll keep it to exactly twenty minutes with an objective of tripling it. Let’s see if we can make that happen!

Loaded up on more veggies and got my prime rib. I’m sad to say this, but they’re clearly cutting back here. The $9.99 special is now only 3 pm to 6 pm, and it’s $11.99 from 6 to 10. You can also see from the picture that it’s a pretty thin cut compared to the way it used to be.

The included dessert is always a great top-off to that meal

BJ was mostly an even game. Cashed out with $65 on a $60 buy in but should have cashed out with $80. I was counting up my $80 in chips as the dealer dealt me my first card not realizing I had no bet in the circle. Since I didn’t see the card, she said I could bet however much I wanted. So I put $15. Busted with 22. Ehh, whatever.

Played off the $5 on this machine. That’s probably my best hit. Probably worked it up to $8 or so at one point. But the reels just weren’t hitting.

Now back in the room and going offline for the night, with plenty of work to do. Aiming to get up around 7:00 or so to embark on my breakfast/pool/bingo plan.

Next photo will be a freshly shaved NFC in his flamingoes outfit!

Did the dealer give you the option to make the bet or did they call over the pitboss? If then former, that is a huge no-no, any and all mistakes are supposed to be handled by the floor person. I was a dealer for a few years and a floor supervisor (aka pitboss) for four more years. I have never heard of a casino not having such a policy, but then again things in Vegas are different than most other places.

Took a quick break to head downstairs, play for a teensy bit and get a slice of pizza.

Hit three bonus rounds on this guy, only to get 120, 60, and 60 credits on a 40 credit bet. Wow. About a $15 loss total

Pin up pizza is a bit pricey compared to other places that serve by the slice (this slice was just under $6)... though the ingredients are excellent and it tastes like a $6 slice. Hit the spot!

Now back at it for just a bit, then getting to bed.

It was the former. It was strictly her giving me the option to bet or not, she never called the pit boss.

I can see why casinos would have such a policy... and would totally have understood if she called the pit boss over. Though in reality it made no difference to me. I placed the bet on my own accord, and was at no advantage or disadvantage in doing so. But relating to your point, I can see how some permutation of this situation could create an unfair advantage/disadvantage, thus justifying the oversight of a pit boss.

Ok...why is the woman's code name, Washington? That is generally a terrible code name for a woman. Hell, for a man too for that matter.

I was wondering this too. Perhaps she is from Washington?

The main thing is game protection. I by chance they go back and do an audit on her via the eye in the sky, she could be written up for not calling them over. Also depending a few factors, at least in the casino i worked, even though you played the hand, even though you lost we may have just had her push the hand, if there were others at the table playing, once you were given your cards, everyone would have been given the option to pull out of the hand due to it being a house mistake. Key is to ensure the integrity of the game and also keeping things fair for the players.

Wow it looks like they cleaned up this thread a bit and the trip has been prolonged and downtown!

NFC you should also consider using your push 22 at the D and 2-1 BJ coupon at Golden Gate. For the push 22 it’s up to a $25 bet. What I did was bet $12 per hand and double down any 12 I had, worked out well.

This report is epic! Loving reading along. We may be downtown at some point this trip if you fancy a beer with some fellow VMBers. Also, that pizza slice looks awesome!

Still following along and enjoying your report. You really get bang for your buck. I arrive on the 12th and I am thinking there's a 50/50 chance you will still be in town.

I think he's gonna check his comps or something and see he has like, 3 comped rooms at CET, 2 comped rooms at MGM, and end up staying ANOTHER 5 nights, before seeing he has another 3 comped nights at Boyd...

Agreed; I'm in on the 11th and I was just thinking this morning that I would take the the bet that NFC will still be in town then.
