Planning our yearly Guys trip to Vegas in 2 more days! Really pumped and excited for this trip. Hopefully I can come back home with some winnings. Reading up on some forums and it seems like everyone is taking a big loss on the strip. Casinos are not paying out and winnings are tight. Can anyone comment from RECENT 2019 visits and provide when and where did you win. I posted previously on this forum regarding never winning a W2G but now I at least want to come home on the positive side.

Thanks in Advance and Viva Las Vegas!

It was back in February, but I hit for $12k on a slot at the cosmo...let’s hope I’m just as lucky this time. I’ll be back Friday! Lol

I was playing $6 dollar max spin on the Heidi slot machine at the Wynn and hit a $1,300 dollar progressive. And overall losses over the course of the trip were only $900 or so on the slots. This after nearly $25k in coin-in.

Net positive is a tall order, especially on the strip.
    Not that it can't happen.
Degenerates like me call near even or even a 1 day BR loss a win.

(didn't vote though, this will be first stay on the Strip for a long time)

I wish I have a positive swing in first day or two to enjoy the rest of the trip. It's been a very, very long time........ but should be thankful that they didn't take it all.

February trip: Bellagio, Cosmo, Aria, Mirage, TI - was a complete slaughter. Only at Ti was I a small winner.

June trip: Luxor, Cosmo, Bellagio, Ti - big winner thanks to 2 VP progressives at the Luxor and small winners at Ti and Cosmo.

Both trips were 85-90% VP and a few random slots. Despite the good trip, I still lost $1000 between the two over the 7 total nights.

Depends on whether you’re an optimist or not.

Like yes, it took my money but it didn’t take all of it so who’s the real winner :hmmm:

Hit $1000 on slot at The Mirage back in January. Just returned from July 4-8 trip....zero luck. Probably the worst gambling trip I've had in years. Played a little VP as well, with no success.

In February (my only trip in 2019 until next month) I came home with over half my bankroll. I consider that winning!
Seriously New York New York and Cosmo slots were really good to me . Many have been brutalized by the slots at Cosmo but I found them to be fairly profitable.

Vegas def took my money but if I wasn't prepared to lose it I should have stayed home.

One of the things I have noticed reading the trip reports for the last few months is that no one has really talked about winning while playing craps in Vegas. Most of the hits are VP or other slots, not really tables games or people have just not mentioned the wins as much as the slot wins.

It's been a few years since we've had a solidly winning trip. Of course, we switched to playing 3CP and HCF instead of Craps and Blackjack so that honestly explains it pretty easily.

Good game rules absolutely matter even in a single trip.

Back when we were exclusively playing Craps and Blackjack, we had lots of winning days/trips. I'm not saying we were making money over the long run, but we regularly had trips in the black and even the losing trips we came back with around half of our budget.

It's nearly impossible to have a winning trip playing poker based table games like 3CP unless you hit a monster like a straight flush or royal flush at some point.

Just returned a few hours ago ... and already back on the board

I play mostly slots, a bit of BJ and even less VP.

Noted that I am not beating the maths: With a high enough coin-in, my trips will almost certainly end up near the published theo for the type of game I play (See Gaming Control Board publications).

This time I took a bad beating the first three days playing slots at the Luxor, then recovered at the Cosmo with a small hand-pay and generally very loose slots across the board. Total trip loss ~ 10% of coin-in.

I spend a lot of time playing, so 10% is my expected and accepted "Cost of entertainment" ;-)

Regardless of how bad it might look at certain times during the trip, in the end I have never used my entire bankroll.

I lost every day for a week playing nearly all the CET casino July 11th-18th. It really sucks to have to hit the ATM each day at $10 per transaction! But I had fun and we did more than gamble this trip too!

June trip at MB: pretty much broke even playing VP, WOF, Quickhits, and 007. Played a long time and had a lot of entertainment. Strolled over to Luxor and played $10 BJ and 3 card poker for break even to slightly up. Again a lot time having fun.

July at Mirage: a total slaughter! Not only did I lose but lost quickly making it tough to rack up some coin-in. Lost at VP (only hit quads twice over 4 days), lost at 007, lost at WOF, broke even to slightly down at Quickhits. Tried some Face Up Pai Gow and got absolutely destroyed. Dealer either had monster hands or, if I caught a decent hand, dealer had the ace high pai gow. Crossed the street and headed down to Planet Hollywood for a really good session of 3 card poker. Still went home with the biggest loss in a while but that eased the pain a little. Can’t wait to go back

I broke even on bubble craps. Outside of the hotel bill, I spent $557 on a July trip just recently, which basically covered food, drink, tips and transport, so the gambling was free. Also played table games (live poker, Pai Gow Poker and Mississippi Stud).

That's not bad. If you have the room covered and all you end up with as your total spend for the trip is the flight and food while there, then that is a win in my book.

Cold for me. I don’t have many winning trips unfortunately. Can’t remember the last time I hit a premium 4oak with kicker. Slots haven’t been great either. Went my entire last trip without hitting a single bonus on golden goddess and I played it quite a bit. My sports betting is the only thing keeping me from getting completely destroyed.

My mom on the other hand has hit 6 royals for 20k each in the past year. Go figure.
