For the east coasters? Not sure if a quick 3 day get away is warranted. Normally I go for 5-6 days. I just need to get away.

I got an email from Allegiant one November for a $21 one-way out on Thanksgiving morning. Two nights at Las Vegas Club, and back Saturday afternoon.

This was probably ‘06 or ‘07. Lots of things have changed. LVC is gone. I ate Thanksgiving dinner at the downstairs coffee shop at Binion’s.

Not from the East Coast, but did 56 hours from STL once. $20 legs on Frontier plus CET diamond tier match expiring in two weeks, we couldn't pass it up! But def shorter than we would have liked.

However in most circumstances, I would think 96 hours minimum from the East Coast.

7 days and that is way too short. But I didn´t have more vacation days left.

Flights take usually like 20 hours one-way so even one week is a short trip for us.

Most of our trips are 3-4 days. Never shorter and never longer tha a week but, week longs are tied to golf. I don’t think I could straight up gamble for a week!

We used to do a lot of 2-nighters from the Midwest.

The shortest ever was when Pricelines "Name your Price" was new. I offered $150. We wound up with an 11pm arrival on Monday and a 6am departure on Wednesday. Never did that again.

Shortest trip is 14 nights. Have done several trips of that length. I don’t think the OH would go for a shorter one. We’d both rather stay for as long as possible.

I’ve flown out after work on Friday, redeye back on Sunday night. At my desk in the office in Boston at both 5pm on Friday and 9am on Monday. I don’t recommend it.

Usually, I will stay 4 nights at the longest. I love Las Vegas, but with age, I tire of it after a few days.

My shortest stay will be in September 2019. Thanks to Frontier changing the flights, I will arrive just before midnight on Wednesday night and fly back at 11 pm on Saturday night.

Usually, I like to play craps before I sleep, but I will try to fight the gravitational pull of the tables when I arrive so late (about 4 am Cleveland time once I am in the hotel). I always wake early and love to take the rental car to Smith's grocery or Walmart for some basic things like distilled water, gatorade, and some chips or other snacks. Since I will only be there 48 hours, I will not go to Great Buns Bakery on Tropicana this time. It has amazing pastries and breads and I would encourage everyone to check it out.

Once I had to arrange a cross-country trip, and the best fare I could find had us laying over in Vegas overnight each way. Fortunately, the Vegas layover didn't cost any extra. Lost about $300 outbound and won the same amount coming back.

5 hours on a layover. I put my carry-on in a locker at LAS (back when they had them pre 9-11) and cabbed it to Hard Rock for a few hours of gaming.
