    I've never seen a weed like that and I think it looks nice.

    Looks like there's some green stuff in the bottom left that needs some attention, though (just kidding, you'd cry if you saw my landscaping)

    A lone hedge-type plant looks out of place in a professionally landscaped garden. Whatever it is, I would hack it down now while it is still small - before it gets too big and established.

    Take your picture (or several) to the local garden center / Nusery when you’re out and about town next. They will give you a good idea and then you can tease us with the answer. (You haven’t traded a cow lately have you?).

    Was it there the last 2.5 years?
    You've been there over 2 years?

    My understanding is Ty is asking - if you had the place landscaped 2.5 yrs ago, where did that plant come from? Was it there for the past 2.5 yrs or just show up now? That makes no sense if the landscapers planted it.....

    @HoyaHeel, well said. Thanks.

    @Joe seems you move very often. It didn't seem possible you stayed in one place for 2 years. Since getting married in 1988 we've averaged 10.3 years per address.

    Well since getting married in 1981, we have lived/owned in 12 houses. That doesn’t include two we bought, remodeled and flipped. We are kind of a nomadic couple. Our longest house was 7 years twice each. Some were very quick, 14 months on one. No rentals, we bought every one of them. Lost money on two of them, but made money on the rest. Thinking another 2 or 3 here, then maybe condo time.

    Yeah, my mom is a nomad and has owned many houses. My in-laws have kept a couple a long time and acquired/flipped many many others at the same time. Me, I like to stay put. We built and moved into the first & only house I've ever owned 2001/2002 and current plan is to keep staying here a while longer.....

    I do change around landscaping quite often! Working on some new plans for the front bed now...... ;-)
