I have nights comped at both properties... which would you choose? FWIW my status is CET diamond and MLIFE gold, so truly free stay at Caesars vs ~$50/night at Aria due to resort fees, though staying at Aria means I can use myvegas rewards that require a stay.
Yea, Aria is nice, but then again... it seems to suck my money even faster than other places. And they are very tight on comps. Also - do you make use of Diamond Lounge? Where do you like to play? Is CET offering any other comps, or just room? And, where do you like to eat. Aria has great food, but also on the expensive side. CP has many options.
Have stayed at both and I would lean toward Aria for the energy unless as a CET Diamond you want to use the free monthly Diamond shows and Laurel Lounge, in which case I would go Caesars Palace.
No, a stay is not required. Although Aria might have an edge over Caesars for niceness of rooms (from what I’ve seen as a non-patron) and swankiness of casino, I’d personally lean towards Caesars for free parking, Diamond lounge access, and no resort fees. Maybe for pool as well.
Exactly as @Mitkraft said, depending on how many nights you are staying, I wold lean towards CET for the zero resort fees, diamond lounge and the pool. Unless you myvegas rewards is big enough to compensate for the resort fees, in which case, i might consider Aria.
Having stayed at both extensively, in a vacuum, I prefer Aria. But you can take into account the other factors better than we can. Either will be a nice stay.
Easy, Aria. Having stayed at both properties more times than I can remember, there's no question. Aria is better in almost every respect. The only areas where CP might be better is entertainment (since it has shows and Aria doesn't) and maybe the sportsbook. The books are very different and both are good. But the Aria book is non-smoking, which is a big plus
I believe gold at MLife is free self parking and valet parking at Aria. I know at MGM Grand gold is free valet. This would equal the Caesars parking concern.
As other posters have accurately confirmed, no stay at CET is required for the show tickets or Laurel (aka Diamond) Lounge. But if you use either or both of those benefits you will get a gaming day triggered at CET. If you do not put any gambling action, you will have your ADT diluted and future offers will go down. So if you do stay at Aria but choose to use the CET show tickets or lounge, I suggest you use both on the same day and put in some CET action in that one day.
If you expect your MyVegas rewards will outweigh the resort fee, or if your dates make you a decent candidate for a corner suite upgrade email, then Aria. If neither of those apply, or if you prefer a smoking room, I'd go with Caesars.
Not clear from your post but assuming base rooms I'm really not a huge fan of Aria's standard room so for me, as long as you're not in a Forum Tower Caesars room, I would stay there. Resorts in general - they are both about a push for me so unless you're rewards status-hunting at one or the other I'd go Caesars.
If pool is important and it's a Palace Tower room or above then Caesars. All of those rooms have a jacuzzi as well (Palace, Augustus, Octavius). Never been a fan of Aria, as it's always felt like a nice shopping mall to me. Weekends at night the casino has life, but it's boring otherwise.
I've only the Aria side of the stay, but walking through CP, I would say that Aria is a notch above. And if you can get an upgrade to tower suites, the lounge access and the private check-in/out desk is a nice perk. and once again my opinion is biased as I've not stayed at CP before, so I will defer to those who have.
