    Living in Sweden, the country scene is non-existant. I love Grand Ole Opry classic country as well as modern country.

    Unfortunately, we are staying in LV from 19-23 of august. Lady Antebellum is only on fridays and saturdays. Might be able to extend the stay one night, can´t say for sure yet though.

    Anyone know of anything else that could be of interest? Classic or modern country, I can do both.

    We alredy have Cirque de Soleil (LOVE) and Mat Franco (Magic guy), but would love one night of country if possible. Or afternoon.

    Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

    Kacey Musgraves is pretty good.

    X Country is a topless show at Harrah's which is good too. I have described it as a modern topless Hee Haw.

    Vegas Gone Country is in the Miracle Mile by Planet Hollywood and features impersonators. I haven't seen it yet but would like to.

    If it's not sold out yet, George Strait is playing on August 23rd.

    Peak time for shows and hearing good country music in casinos in Vegas is during the National Finals Rodeo in December. There are so many acts that you won't be able to catch all of the ones you'd like to see....you have to pick and choose. Hell, Aaron Watson played 4 free shows in 4 nights at South Point last year.

    Toby Keith's at Harrah's comes to mind immediately.

    Please add another vote for Kacey Musgraves show. Sometimes, it is pretty reasonably priced and it is a great show.

    I can´t belive how many great suggestions here.

    Heard a song or two from Kacey, she´s good for sure. We have tickets to Mat Franco on the 20th, so won´t be able to make it.

    Trying to change our reservation at Lake Tahoe (our next "big" stop) and if it works, we will be in Vegas on both the 23rd and 24th of august, so that opens up for both Lady Antebellum, George Strait, Kacey Musgraves and Travis Tritt. I think we´ll go Lady Antebellum in that case, since they are the mrs favourite of the lot.

    Thanks a million everyone!

    Everyone has their preferences, but Lady Antebellum will be doing shows for years to come. George Strait is already semi-retired and may stop performing altogether in the near future. If I had the opportunity to see his show, I'd take advantage of it because there may not be another chance.

    Besides what’s been mentioned;

    They have Classic Country Music at a locals casino inn boulder highway called Skyline Casino. The artist is Bob Lucas. He does covers as well as originals. He’s really good!

    @TJC I understand where you are coming from with this, and I tend to agree! However, your viewpoint differs from mine in two important aspects. 1. We live in Sweden, and even if we usually make a trip to the US every year, chances are that we won´t be able to see Lady A ever again! 2. The mrs likes Lady A better.

    I just realized, that number 2 is universal. ;)

    Only one thing differs then! :D

    Great forum! So many friendly people!!!

    @Veratio -

    I am an old country fan myself. This isn’t Vegas related per se, but worth knowing for future trips to the US.

    During the winter months of January and February, the Opry is held at its original home - the Ryman Auditorium. It is amazing to see it in the mother church.

    If it ever works out that you’re coming here in the winter, it’s certainly worth your consideration.

    Barbershop (at Cosmo) has actually started doing a country night. I have not been and don't know how "authentic" it is, nor do I know what their schedule is like, but I'd keep an eye on it.

    He is good I caught him in September. Place sort of turns into a little dive honky tonk while he's on the stage.
