I'm curious about this too. I'll be there on Tuesday and plan to spend most of Wednesday at MGM's pool but my wife may not be too keen on that if the pool is full of grasshoppers.

First a low temperature is forecasted (well, 91 and cloudy) and now this.....

This really is a grasshopper infestation of biblical proportion. Amazing. How long do they feel it will last?

The casinos think they will run out of money in another week, less if they keep playing UTH.

Are the grasshoppers included in the resort fee?

Living in Las Vegas just uploaded a video where they drove down the strip looking for grass hoppers.. Granted they were in the car but when they looked up at lights etc they could not spot any and people walking along the strip didn't seem concerned

So are bartenders mixing the cocktail? I don’t think I’ve seen a Grasshopper since my last Harvey Wallbanger.

There are videos all over the internet showing swarms of them on the Strip, Downtown and even in the light coming from the Luxor pyramid. Check out the video on this link:
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/grasshoppers-in-vegas-swarms-of-grasshoppers-invade-las-vegas-everybody-was-going-crazy-2019-07-27/

I think they seem to mainly swarm at night because they are attracted to the lights, but they are really harmless. Grasshoppers don't bite or do anything at all really. If it were a different kind of invasion like a swarm of bees I would be worried, but a few grasshoppers aren't going to keep me away from Vegas!!

We fly out next week and my wife is terrified of thigs like this, but from what i have seen from people that are in Vegas now it's not as bad as the video's anymore. One person said they saw none on the strip last night.

So fingers crossed its calming down

Yes, these young grasshoppers are trying to learn the art of card counting now that they have mastered walking on the rice paper.

I wonder if the grasshoppers enter open casino areas like the Four Queens Bar next to the street

Word is they're migrating north, but not expected to get further than Tonapah or so... hope that's correct... don't want 'em up here.
