But that isn't always the case...it sounds like Cosmo went a step further to see if they could offer you a comp by asking for info to see if your play warranted doing so. It is unrealistic to expect a comp at a hotel like Cosmo without giving them some decent play. It is a business.

Cosmo is very good with comps, so if you are hoping to stay there comped at a future date, play there. As you can see if you look through this thread, many have received offers being matched.

Well, pending the Win / Loss statement, it looks like they were willing to provide a match for the lower tier properties.

This is cool, just saw a vid that piqued my interest in the Cosmo and now I am fully intrigued. I'm 98% a slot player, so it sounds like this property is geared to me. Will make a point to check it out in June.

Cosmo's rooms often sell for $300+ a night, almost double Aria. They won't match any comp offer, but Cosmo has really gone the distance to try to match offers. And I've LOVED Kevin's responses on here when he can't match an offer, it is always classy, and never condescending, just "unfortunately we can't at this time"

What other hotel does this? I reached out to the Golden nugget to see if they would match an offer. I'm Platinum with Mlife, and had an Aria suite offer at the time, and they were snooty. They did offer a room, but it was done in a "we are doing you a massive favor" way. I passed. No thanks.

Will Cosmo match every offer? No. Rooms are $300+ a night on many nights, way more than Aria, Bellagio or Wynn. And they're often at 95% occupancy. Like @breanna61 said, it doesn't make business sense to match lower offers. But Kevin matched our offer years ago, any they have taken amazing care of us for years, over six trips.

Cosmo will be a great home for some, and not quite right for others.... But for us? It treated us the BEST out of any property on the strip, and we're mid-roller. And their offer to match offers from comparable hotels? Who else does that in this caliber of hotel?

I expect to fall off Cosmo's radar eventually, but until that, happens, I will continue to enjoy them as my FAVORITE property on the strip!

PS note that Kevin's original reach out was 2016, and Cosmo has been hopping since, so offers might be tighter. If he doesn't match an offer, I'd still suggest put some play in at Comso...and see if you get teaser offers for a follow up trip!

Just emailed Kevin the other day about the match. I sent him a screen shot of my offer at the Bellagio hoping to get a couple of comp'd nights. He responded within 24 hrs and offered 3 nights in Terrace room, matched my free play at Bellagio, and offered a food/ beverage credit. I'm extremely impressed with their response time and offer.

Emailed Kevin a few days ago. Responded in 20 minutes! 20!! I was upfront about receiving comp nights at MGM Grand, MB, Mirage, but not Aria or the B. He graciously offered a discounted rate (I wasn't expecting comp at all) that was a very good discount off the best I could find through Identity. Very impressed with the service. Every email was returned within 30 minutes. And I like his approach that he really wanted us to give Cosmo a chance and enjoy the resort. It's a simple yet customer-forward way to do business.

Will be staying in October for the first time on a matched offer with Mlife for 2 nights. Not really spent much time at the Cosmo and really looking forward to it after reading all the positive comments on this board.

Emailed Kevin with my Bellagio offer of 3 nights in a fountain view room with 75 freeplay and 75 resort credit. He got back to me right away and offered me 2 nights in a premium view terrace room. I immediately took the offer of course.

CLASS ACT- I emailed Kevin and within 10 minutes he had gotten back to me. We have never stayed at Cosmo, however all the reviews here made me say “what do you have to lose”.. Kevin requested some verification on play, etc and offered comp upfront. The communication could not have been better. I see why so many here rave about the place. See you in July.

I’ll be in Vegas 7/22-7/26. Will definitely spend some time at the Cosmo as I’d love to stay there sometime

A few years ago I got a discount based on the offer I was getting from Bally’s. Still cost twice as much, but I wanted to try a room with a balcony. The hotel and room were great, the gambling not so great. It was a week long stay, and after the first 3 days of no luck at all, including losing a couple hundred going $1.50 a spin with not one bonus round, I gave up playing there, and gave CET & Mlife all my play. I was down about half my bankroll, but got most of it back before we went home. 1 year later I contacted Cosmo, and their response was a bit condescending. I was told based on my play, they couldn’t do anything for me. Now I know $2000 is not much for them, but I wasn’t asking for a comped room, just asking if I can get a discount rate. I decided I will never step foot in there again. They don’t even send me emails anymore. I guess they were insulted by me asking for a discount rate, because that’s about the time the emails stopped.

They are not insulted or anything like that, they don’t give a shit. They just look at the numbers, if you lose 2 grand they don’t care, they look st your turnover. Just unlucky if you lose really fast, because then your numbers look really bad. Expected loss is very small with small turnover. All a casino cares about is expected loss, because that is the money they will earn in the long run on average from their customers.

I e-mailed Kevin about next summer, as I missed staying at the Cosmo this year, and sent him screenshots of my 3 nights & $75FP/$50FB from Bellagio, along with my playing statement from my trip this year.

He said to mail him a few months before, as nothing he could do this far out for next year. This was before my plans changed and I was able to make a trip in December, too.

Mailed him last night about that, and got a mail back first thing this morning. Kevin could offer me 3 comp nights (over the required weekend) in a terrace room and any additional nights I want @ c/rate of $129 per night. Also all RFs comped.

Losing the freeplay/fb is offset by no RFs, so happy to swap and give them my play.

Got my comp offer at Bellagio matched, 3 nights in November in a terrace with no RF. Kevin was brilliant. I provided Win/Loss statements and the screenshot of my offer.
