If they were any shorter, I'd say too short. The length you depict is the minimum, I think.

I think they look just fine Joe! But remember, I'm the same guy that thought these were OK to wear in public too...

Joe, I like the length. I don't think they are short at all! My hubby has great legs and wears them short - why not show off what you've got!!!!!

They ought to make the length adjustable with snaps so you can go anywhere from short shorts to gangsta depending on your mood.

If I thought they were too short I'd just keep my mouth shut (bet you didn't know I can do that!)

I think they are fine on length; I don't think they're too short.

    Now Old-school OP shorts?

Men's shorts come in 3 lengths, 3 inch, 7 inch, and 10 inch. You @Joe are wearing 7 inch, which I wear. We are 67, we can do what we want. I think 10 inch look like clown suits when I see my 40 y.o. kids wearing them. 3 inch are for 20 Y.O.'s and under, in great shape.

I cannot stand below the knee shorts. I have a big belly and they look terrible on me. The reason i wear them is pretty much because it is the only thing most stores carry in the cheap affordable range, Not spending a fortune on shorts for minimal wear. I have been known to cut the pockets off my cargo shorts and hemmed them to make them shorter.

That said, i went to walmart yesterday and they had a huge selection of above the knee shorts. Rack upn rack of them. Almost could not find cargo shorts.

You my friend, are the actual trend setter!! you are like the kardashian of VMB!!

I just gotta ask...honestly...who is in command? Do we consult with the Mrs. or does she occupy a voting seat on the household board? I know that some men have abdicated sartorial responsibility to the Mrs., and I just want to make sure this isn't some sort of "you're not the boss of me" outright rebellion. 'Cause although we say things like "as long as you're happy", you know that as soon as you're out of earshot it's gonna be "Holy f*ing shit, did you see that? He honest-to-god left the house looking like that?!"

I don't see anything wrong with the shorts. It's not so much what's "in", so much as fit. Age appropriate attire is something to consider, and here on the peninsula shorts are pretty much standard attire year round. And we do reach a certain age where our shorts need to look age appropriate...not like some guy riding his skateboard down to senior center. The photo looks fine. And if the dog agrees with your decision...early voting tallies show a 2:1 lead over the opposition. So there.

'Cause once per annum is insufficient...

I think they look fine. You've still got great legs so show them off!

Personally, I don't like really long shorts on men. It makes most men look frumpy but that's just me.

The problem for me is that I'm short. Wearing shorts above the knee looks better on me but it has to be a tad above the knee. Cargo shorts make me look stupid. I wish I was tall because I think cargo shorts are cool.

But not on short people. It just makes them look more shorter.

I had to try on my shorts to see how long they are. My shorts are about an inch longer than yours Joe. I cant stand longer shorts that are over my knee or longer. The only exception is my cargo shorts I wear for golf but they aren't that much over my knee. I feel I may as well wear regular long pants if they are going to be over knee or longer. Ever since I retired I never wear long pants anymore, except when I go to colder places or go out at night.

I see some people at the gym wearing short shorts (ball huggers), to me they look gross. I also see some young kids wearing longer shorts but I just don't want to wear those types of shorts.

I say as long as you're not feeling a breeze on the boys when you sit down, they're fine. Be comfortable no matter what.
