    My Trip Report

Greetings fellow VMBers – Taking a trip on Monday to the Promised Land / Blvd of Broken Dreams – its the 1st trip in around 11 months. We are comped, Terrace Studio - Fountain View, with a decent amount of free play and food credits.
I need some help deciding on a title for the trip report – sort of like a contest, but no real prize involved unless you are happy coming to Houston and allowing one of my bulldogs to hump your leg. In the end, there won’t be much satisfaction for either of you since he had one of his front legs amputated earlier this year – but he tries anyways.

Here are my best attempts so far – vote accordingly or suggest one for me.

1: “The Dumpster Fire Avoidance trip” – as implied, the dumpster fire has reared its head in the past, but I guess that’s why Cosmo wants me back & hey I guess I am a gluten for punishment.
2: “Bullys Gone Wild (sort of)” – I have owned English Bulldogs for most of my adult life and currently have two of them – both were adoption/rescues and had tough early lives, but are doing very well now.
3: “The Grass is Always Greener” – why most of us go to LV in the 1st place
4: “A Penny Saved is a Penny Gambled” – hey, it’s just our kid's college education we are talking about

    Very loose agenda/ goals
Use up all our Southwest drink tixs
    Car rental after landing
Quick stop for supplies, snacks / drinks / Pedialyte etc to take back to the hotel
    Don’t piss off the wife
Dinner with cousin’s family in Henderson
    1 or 2 Poker tourneys
Lunch at Triple George or Pizza Rock downtown
    Don’t piss of the wife
Spa day for the better half
    Absinthe or Opium
Aria or Cosmo breakfast / lunch / brunch buffet
    Don’t piss off the wife
Casino visits to DTG, GVR and The M (possibly South Point – not sure why since I never get any offers from them – but they have great VP options)
LV Aviators baseball game – damn they are out of town
The gambol (mostly VP, slots to break it up some (Buffalo / Lightning Link mostly), and low level minimum craps when I can find it.
    Don’t piss off the wife
    and the drinking.

We aren’t really foodies, so not much food porn to be seen, but will hopefully post pics like this bad boy from Lake Charles earlier this year – thanks L'auberge!
    Hope you follow along
Remember to vote and vote often. See you on the flipside.

That's going to be my vote. And hey, if you hit a big enough jackpot, your kids wont need an education any more. They can live by mooching off you ;)

I like Bullys Gone Wild (sort of) because, duh.
Your pups are adorable. Thanks for sharing those pics and best of luck on your trip, @DozerTheBulldog.

Wheels up in about 24 hrs.
Scored a win already when checking Costco Travel on rental cars and my previous booking went down in price by $85 for the trip, so cancelled and rebooked - Hey, that's potentially 5-10 minutes of 3 handed Ultimate X video poker or 3 waters, a power bar and a pack of smokes from the gift shop.

I agree with title of " THE DON'T PISS THE WIFE OFF TRIP REPORT". I also think that it is sage advice in everyday life. Trips to Chateau Bow Wow are not fun at all as I have taken up residence there far too often in our 36 years of marital bliss:)

At work for 4 hrs this morning, tying up loose ends since I really dont have anyone to cover for me while I am out. Meanwhile, my wife is dumping, (I mean dropping off) our daughter, for her 3+ hr bus ride to a remote part of Texas for 5 days of camp.
After leaving work, I need to run home, load up the bullies and all their cant live withouts (mainly food & dog toys) and take them across town to a pet sitter, then back across town to the house and then back to the other side of town to the airport.
This will be the 1st trip to LV for my wife and I without our daughter. We have done it several times in the past, with her in tow, with stays at GVR & Red Rocks. (They have Kids Quest, movie theatres etc to kill time at).So on those trips, my wife and I would tag team like The British Bulldogs of 1980s WWF and split time entertaining the daughter while the other one gets their gamble on. Being more of the degen than she is, this split was never 50/50 or even close - eventually leading to "pissing off the wife". I am Clark Griswald, sneaking away from the restaurant to put a hundy in a machine and giving it a spin or 5 while they think my IBS is getting the best of me.

Glad to see you chose my title suggestion! After 51 years of marriage, it works (for both my hubby and me)!
Have a fabulous trip, Dozer, and win a bunch of money!

engage her in a game of "I can't believe she's wearing that!"
then you can ogle when she points out a winner.
I'm guessing its not going to be the Red Rock crowd.

Well, our flight was cancelled...after a mad scramble, instead of a non-stop, we go to LAX, then on to LV. We get in around 3 hrs later than originally planned. Booooo!
Obviously a bummer. Of course the wife is pissed, but at least not at me.

3 hours late isn't bad for a cancellation! Hope the rest of the trip goes better! And I pissed off M more today than I have in months! Oops!

So SWA had 20+ cancelled flights out of Houston today, not sure if storm Barry or MAX related, but 20 mins ago, I got an email from SWA telling me I am now on a different flight, changing planes in San Antonio. Went to desk and attendant had no idea why I got that and assured me that I was on the LAX flight. So bizarre....

I know I'm going out on a limb here, but something tells me you've pissed off the wife a time or two...how about, "Don't piss of the wife again."
