Not a whole lot. Her English was broken at best at Wynn in their accounting lol. I've never had the holds last this long

Sorry to hear that. Real bummer if you need that credit capacity while they keep a lock on it. Patience. It will work out.

Shouldn't be a major issue though, right? Your CC company won't require that you pay the charge if it's pending.

Exactly. Only downside is I'm traveling again in about 2 weeks and would like that off my card before we travel but it's not looking that way

Good reason to have multiple credit cards if your credit limit is that tight.

It has nothing to do with that. I'm very anal about my credit cards and showing transactions

it might just be an issue with the credit card company-my Citibank Amex will sometimes take 2 weeks for a pending charge to come off.

Funny thing-just got back from a stay at MGM-got an e-mail that they charged card when we checked in (alert for "card not present transaction") last Thursday. We checked out Tues morning and when I got home and checked, that temp charge didn't show at all and the final charges didn't show until yesterday...

    oh... now I see.

You would probably go crazy in our house. We are busy charging stuff all the time, on multiple cards. Even had trips overlap with "pending" charges from both trips hanging out for a week usually, but seen some over two weeks maybe even longer.

Just when I am thinking about calling them to investigate, my smarter side tells me to let it go. I hate calling customer service. Such a waste of time often. Anyways, they eventually drop off and all is well.

I hope your issue clears soon.

At Luxor last year it took about a week for the hold to come off.

Sigh. 2 weeks from today checked out. Called mlife and they said everything was released at check out. Called citi and they said they're waiting on mlife even though they aren't doing anything since they released it already. Frustrated to say the least.

Why not just let it sit there and not deal with it? Just check on it from time to time to make sure it does not become a real charge and eventually just go away.

My Timeshare (Hilton grand vacations at the Flamingo) puts a $50 hold just once for the whole week, but what irks me is we are supposed to be "Owners" and they still don't trust me with a security hold. SMH.

"Owners" is a bit of a stretch to be honest. You can still have incidentals or damage. Though you are "legal owners", in practice you are more like a "hotel guest". You check in, check out, get assigned a different room each visit, etc.

We have a share, use it often at HGVC Paradise. I agree with nostresshere, what is to keep an "owner" from going all Joe Walsh on the place? Hell, many homeowners notoriously don't exactly keep their investment/house shipshape.

I know Wynn places a $150.00 a day hold on your credit card...
Always assumed it came off after you paid for incidentals at check out.

That was my impression.. It sounds like it's a citi credit card thing. Delano even called there to get it released but citi just says it has to go through the "whole cycle" which is 30 days so I'll have a pending hold of $1,000 on my card for a month. Won't be using a citi card at a hotel again I know that considering my bill at both Delano and Wynn were 0.

    Wow.

I've never seen a hold on our cards. Now I don't camp out online 24/7 checking it out like some seem to do. But we get home, a day or three later one of us is on there, and there is nada.

Okay, maybe I am missing something, but if there is a $1,000 pending charge on a credit card for a month, what is the downside?
