I was on the Las Vegas Advisor site and was looking at the Transportation/Boyd Shuttle services and I just read this, I clicked on it and it took me to the Orleans web page, can anyone confirm?

"NOTICE: The shuttle drop off location on the Las Vegas Strip is currently The High Roller at the Linq. This location is changing to The Fashion Show Mall effective July 15, 2019."

I am going on the 20th of July and this will change an entire day that I had planned.
I personally hate the idea, I need a shuttle that goes somewhere mid-strip. Fashion Show Mall is too far away from a lot of things. Rio dropped the shuttle and now Boyd is re-routing. If that space will not be available, they could still use places that have been used in the past, such as:Cromwell, Bally's, Paris, Harrah's, Caesars Palace, etc...

I have e-mailed both the Orleans and the Gold Coast to confirm and I will post here when and if I get a reply.

    Thank you

I have always thought the shuttle drop at the Linq was horrible. Traffic getting in and out of there is just too much. The Fashion Show Mall is a ways to walk though. Suits me because I'm usually headed to Mirage, so not so bad, but quite a hike anywhere else. I took a cab from Gold Coast to the Forever 21 store once and the guy took a back road and was there in no time. I wonder if this will greatly increase the number of trips the bus can make and decrease time spent on the shuttle? Taking the shuttle from Orleans to Gold Coast was ridiculous.

That's unfortunate. But probably saves cheap ass Boyd money to move it to Fashion Show.

I would think so looking at the map.

I love this idea. I hated walking through the Linq promenade. It can get congested certain times of the day and as someone says, they vehicle traffic was ridiculous. When I was there in May I noticed they were doing a lot of construction across from the shuttle pick-up and drop-off location. That made traffic even worse. I believe I read somewhere that it will be more clothing shops.

Too bad they didn't change the strip stop to a more central location. Perhaps a tad east of the Ballys entrance on the Flamingo side. Or even east of the original stop at (former) Barbary Coast.

There are times during my stays at O that I'd like to take the shuttle rather than driving, but the Linq location wasn't ideal and certainly not the FSM now.

This drive will be a LOT faster, even though the FSM is farther away. I love the location as I stay at Wynncore and usually make a stop at Gold Coast and/or Orleans each trip.

The construction for the new convention center behind Linq/Harrahs has made traffic a mess back there. Last month I took the shuttle back to the strip and the drop off area was moved back from the roadway to a parking lot. The distance was far enough that they offered golf carts to drive people from the bus drop off point to the entrance to the Linq promenade. The construction activity has made the area very unsafe for pedestrian traffic.

Glad to see that they got out of there.

The ride tracker app now has the new route posted. Gold coast to the Orleans the usual way. Then straight down Tropicana to the freeway and North to Fashion show. The route back to the Gold Coast is along Sammy Davis jr ..West Twain...Valley View Blvd.

I follow The Orleans on Facebook- I just received a message that "Effective today, the Strip drop off/pick up for the Orleans/Gold Coast Shuttle will be relocated to the Fashion Show Mall. The stop will be located on Fashion Show Drive, at the corner of Forever 21 and Valet".

Disappointing- I really appreciated getting dropped off mid-strip.

Yeah this looks more efficient route generally. Except for people that wanted to gamble more center strip. [emoji12]

Beware, the shuttle is no longer picking up from the LINQ, due to construction. Will now pick-up from Fashion Show Mall.

really, it's going to ruin a whole day? Boo Hoo:cry::cry:. Take an Uber or Lift for $10 bucks. Be thankful they have the shuttle. I know it's off strip but how many hotels have shuttles now?
