Have a great trip! From reading some other TRs sounds like you already are!

But I gotta say, that pig will give me nightmares tonight!

This is the first time since I got to Vegas yesterday afternoon to be able to post. I’m sure I’m repeating stuff from others.

@MikeOPensacola and I met up for drinks and dinner last night. Since I was staying at Paris, we met there and discovered we were too lazy and the weather was too hot for us to move from our nice comfortable bar seats in the Gordon Ramsay restaurant, so we stayed there.

I had my first Old Fashioned (tasty), we shared some Beef Wellington and I introduced Mike to sticky toffee pudding.

    (That brown sugar ice cream—yum!)

Then we played some slots at Cosmo and did okay. No super wins but didn’t spend a lot. Here’s one of our better wins—er, recoveries— on Game of Thrones.

This morning, I moved from Paris to the Wynn. First time I’m on the Strip side. There’s a whole bunch more to post, but I’m beat. Here’s the view from bed before heading off to sleep. Not too shabby, eh? Night, all.

Okie dokie. I’m taking a break from slotting and between cocktails (not one Sinatra Smash in the 24 hours I’ve been here. The horror!)

I am so lazy because I have some of the most prolific VMB posters and by the time I post, you may have seen All The Things.

But. I will say the @ardee Elvis Luau Extravaganza was one for the books.

    Almost too pretty to eat.

This will prolly be the one time I am ever in a Fairway Villa and it. was. pretty. cool. Speaking of cool I think this is the mildest not ever seen Las Vegas in July. Or I’m getting used to scorching desert heat. Whatever.

I finally met the Queen of VMB herself, @Sonya. What an awesome and incredibly witty woman. Also? If you meet her, do not drink anything. She is so rapid-fire funny that one of us was either coughing, snorting or spraying liquid in some form. I don’t think I’ve ever seen MikeOPensacola crying from laughter until last night.

This morning, Mike was kind enough to invite me to the poolside and we had libations at 10 am. Hey, it was a banana daiquiri. That counts as getting my daily dose of fruit, right?

Ummmmm, is no one else curious what the "cheekier" title was that Mike coaxed you against using?

So Sinatra’s didn’t work tonight for dinner. I think the entire group was completely exhausted from the partying yesterday. I actually told @MikeOPensacola I would fall asleep by the pool and crisperate in the hot Vegas sun. (Yes, I know it’s not a word. Try it anyway; it’s fun to say after a few drinks.)

Met the @ardees for a little Down Parasol gathering. Such a pretty place! The umbrella below was positioned above us and yes, for those of you who haven’t been to the Wynn, it is inside the hotel. Apparently the designer didn’t get the memo that it’s bad luck to bring your umbrella indoors but I guess he figured with enough alcohol anything is possible.
    0F0C695D-5181-4A7D-8092-E548DC87021C.jpeg

You’ll note the lack of photos of yours truly in my reports. I’m pretty active in social media in my day job. Let’s just say that part of my world does not need to see what I do in Vegas.

    Random Observations:
There is a room on my hotel floor that I am convinced that people will never see Vegas. The smell of marijuana outside the door is so strong, I get a little high each time I head by them to my room.

I love the people watching in Vegas, don’t you? Today involved a young woman who over-selfied by the pool. She survived but i had no idea that an iPhone could be stacked in so many places without tumbling into the pool. Or there were that many poses. I had momentary flashes of trying something similar but wouldn’t make it past one pose before cracking up or turning it into a Mr. Bean skit. I suck at selfies and I’m pretty sure I’ve never given half the sultry faces to my SO that she was giving to her phone. Eh, he’d probably crack up too.

In other news, there was no chance to hook up with @Sonya today. She was fighting a cold or something. (Feel better soon.)

They all leave me tomorrow. Whatever will I do? Oh woe is me ...heh. 0F4D8AE3-0DD1-4838-B6CE-6F1B437E0B79.jpeg

    Good morning, VMB’ers!

You’d think, given the shenanigans of the past few days that I’d take advantage of my wonderful bed but nooooo...eyes popped open at 5 frickin’ 14 am.

And for some reason, I am STARVING, so here I am eating brekkie at Terrace Pointe.*
    image.jpg

Ladies and gentlemen, it is almost parka weather out here by desert standards: a mere 79 degrees.

*Not my usual state esp. given all the food of the past few days. :hmmm:Ah, by Jove, I think I’ve got it! Too many forays past the marijuana masters in room 53xx. Cheers!

I had some pot neighbors like this, on a non smoking floor, in Augustus tower at Caesar's in June. But at least they had a nice room with a good fountain view, so they at least saw Vegas out the window. I saw a dude leaving the room one night with a backpack, saying on his way out the door "alright cool brah just give me a call if you guys need anything else Ill hook it up" - assuming that was drugs to your door, but maybe not. From the dirty dreadlocks and stoner jam band patches all over his backpack, I'm guessing he wasnt a Caesar's employee though.

This afternoon‘s report is brought to you by the letters “c” for “can’t get a hand pay” and “s” for “screw it, I’m heading to the spa.” (We are a little hesitant on this report to give some of you out there any wiggle room to think up your own darn letters. After all, we know you have no ability to recognize toes.)

For slots, Buffalo Extreme is right up there for volatility. I’ve made a mistake in the past of putting far too much money on the max bet, when in reality $.75 will go a long way. Here’s today’s best slot of the trip:

    DC4916A7-E2AB-4614-80E1-DB0E4E662642.jpeg

That’s kept me going most of the day and I still have half of it left.

I took a break for a spa visit. I think it’s so beautiful and serene and a real nice break from all that noise of Las Vegas. For 40 bucks you get one of the best eucalyptus steam rooms on the Strip, as well as a dry sauna, waterfall shower, some nice cool plunge pools (at 80 degrees, they call that a cold plunge.) A quick snap of the lounge on the ladies side:
    FFEC4B7F-999D-4A41-B95C-5D1241EB60F2.jpeg

I spent a couple hours killing off whatever LV crud is going around and then beetled off to Wazuzu for some har gow (shrimp dumplings).

    83F8EE9F-17F6-49E9-A164-FAB5EE2CEAEB.jpeg

I’m going to try to hit Sinatra’s tonight, prop myself up at the bar. Kinda quiet without the kids (@ardee and @MikeOPensacola) but enjoying my last day here for sure.

Nice day. I was find the last day of my trip bittersweet. But it was very restful and now I’m going to eat.

Venetian hates me on the slot floor and I came running back. Cows, take me to your alien abductors!

Oh wait. Not actually part of the Moolah slots. My bad.

There are some interesting clothing options in Vegas. Just saying.

Dinner tonight at Sinatra’s. Sitting at the bar. There is an NBA thing going on and I feel really short. I’m short anyway but still.

To be honest, it’s really delicious but I like the white truffle better.

I’d show you my cocktails but they seem to mysteriously disappear.

Pretentious 40-something entitled dude pontificating next to me. Joy. Apparently his work can’t survive without his expertise. Still, interesting to watch.

Met some other nice people who were there for the first time. Very convivial although it’s not hard when you’re away, drinking and eating up a storm.

I was so full that I couldn’t eat dessert. That’s pretty rare. I’ll regret that when I’m hungry tomorrow.

    EB189020-4A91-4B4D-80BD-B041EE166E35.jpeg

In other news, didn’t smell any mj in the hallway, so shouldn’t be as hungry. I hope.

Good fun. I leave on a 10 am flight tomorrow. Suppose I should pack...

    Under the heading, “Vegas specials”

So I’m heading out this morning out to my little charter, and there’s a guy in the casino, cheerfully yelling at the machine. Picture an older man, rail-thin with gray hair slicked back in a way that suggests the 70s was his decade.

His voice is deep and Louis Armstrong gravelly and he keeps up this non-stop high-decibel convo at the Buffalo Grand machine he’s playing.

“You son-of-bitch! You give it to me! Give it to me! Don’t be stingy. G’damnit, what’s a guy have to do to get a bonus? Keep this up and I’ll strip off all my clothes RIGHT NOW and run naked through the casino! Trust me, no one wants to see that!”

Then when he gets the bonus, this: “Finally. FINALLY! Come on, don’t be stingy; I gotta get some new clothes. (Not true. He was dressed resort casual in a way that suggests his shoes cost more than my entire outfit.)

Pause. Silence. Then, “You #!^#{|%>]*€|^|!!! That’s it? That’s IT? How could you do this to me?”

When he finally got a decent bonus, he sings along with the winning music. Apparently, the buffalo’s name is Frankie. Who knew? “Way to go, Frankie. You are the best you know...”

    :kill:Awesome sauce.
