So sad to have had to leave so early, but you know my trip has officially begun, and ended(except the grueling travel portion), when I get my mimosa picture. Got my best buffalo gold bonus of the trip at the airport. $20 give or take. F*k you Buffalo!

Hey, bonus! I'm sitting in he ATL airport waiting on my short hop to board, got to thinking about when I'll go back. I had Paris booked already (for Thanksgiving) but really like CP a lot better now that I've stayed at Paris (but Paris was fine all except when the slot machine broke, and with that exception, I was treated like a High Roller which always makes me happy because I'm not - room was very good too except the tub situation).

So I just logged in to my CR account and looks like I did a little over 3k TC in two days, and my comp offers have improved again. I had checked CP before booking Paris and it wanted me to pay 1-2 nights and only Forum/Julius, also had no comp offers at NOBU or Cromwell (wouldn't stay at Cromwell anyway probably) but when I just checked, I now have Caesar's, Nobu, and Cromwell all free for the whole trip, so I'll almost for sure cancel the Paris and rebook Caesars or Nobu.

Hopefully Cosmo will send some sort of teaser offer or something too. I hadnt been there before because I knew I would want to play there but was heavily invested in CET and didnt want to low play them while working up to diamond. I managed to get somewhere between 1700-2000 identity points in my two sessions there, no idea what that's worth to them.

Anyhow, always good to log in before I'm even home and see my offers noticeably improved, and I still got some gaming TC coming it looks like haven't credited yet, plus spend credits on room charges etc, not that those make much difference.

Now the question is do I book Nobu because it's tiny (which I hate) but has nice bathroom (high priority for me) or book Julius and hope I get >= Palace upgrade at checkin, which is likely but not guaranteed. Can't think of any reason Cromwell would win...they're tiny AND have a bad bathroom.

At any rate, having a nicer free room at a property I like better will certainly nudge me a little more in the direction of coming back for Thanksgiving, which is still undecided at this point.

@ardee @breanna61 without giving it away.... this is Kevin, and he is sooo fuckin’ cute. Especially when he hops away and fakes you out like it’s almost time for a bonus. :evillaugh:

MCann has fewer fleas than Kevin. ;)

Congrats on the better offers. Hope you get something from Cosmo too. If not, you might want to check out the Cosmo thread here and see if they will match your CP/Nobu offer.

Cancelled Paris and booked CP Julius. Just don't want the tiny room in Nobu. Or Cromwell. I realize Julius isn't a ton bigger but they gave me several e-standby upgrade options for CP, so if they won't upgrade me for free, I at least requested Octavius for $10 a night. And they offered the really big suite in Forum for $80 and the Octavius Executive for a little over $100. Any of those would be fine with me, although as far as I know it would be a solo trip, and regular Octavius room for $50 for the whole trip would be perfect for just me. :D Octavius Suite if someone comes with me.

I'd strongly prefer either of those paid options over a free Paris p-room again, mostly because I didn't like the bathroom or particularly care for their slot selection as much as CP or Cosmo or a few other places. I found myself walking in circles a lot playing the same 8 or 10 games over and over. A lot of games were just occupied almost 24/7 so only easily available in the early mornings, and the casino layout made almost nothing convenient when moving around. A lot of my high limit play was simply because they were decent / different machines and never occupied, and I was tired of playing same games over and over. The P-Room though I'd give like a 7 out of 10 maybe. It was super nice and roomy enough to not feel cramped at all in a king, probably even with 2 people. View could have been better, but was still nicer than most rooms at most places that aren't north facing Cosmo or South facing Augustus tower. I think the 2 queen version would be cramped though. Everything about it was good except the bathroom, which in and of itself was also very nice and in good shape, clean etc, just had a silly little shallow tub with no jets and a very small stand up shower, even though there was plenty of square footage in the bathroom. It could EASILY have been worse, just wasn't exciting.

Also, this was me trying to open my room every time I went back - don't know what it was about the carpet in those hallways - this has never happened to me at Caesar's but EVERY DAMN TIME @ Paris:

Hope you get what you want without the charge. So exciting when the offers improve. Sept will probably be my one and only CET stay because I’m picky about bathrooms too. I prefer a nice view, doesn’t have to be a spectacular vista but floor to ceiling windows and not dumpsters. Mlife has many properties that offer the bath and the views in most standard rooms. Aria baths are funky with the tub in the shower but the upgrade to a tower suite fixes that. You did well at Bellagio, no teasers there?

No, but Bellagio I've only played on my card 2 times, put very little coin-in and walked out a winner both times, very big winner once. I'm literally around 4:1 win/loss lifetime there on my card, so if I was them I would either not want me back very bad, or want me back real bad to get some of my money back lol. I won't give them any real play unless they start status matching or at least something to make it not so much worse of a deal than staying and playing at CET is for me right now. I'm a little over 2/3 of the way from diamond to diamond elite now so I'll be working to earn that as well before giving too much play elsewhere unless they give me a good comp room at least. If I don't make diamond again next year at CET, then maybe in 2021 I'll pay for a tower or sky suite at Aria and give them real play and see where that goes. Cosmo treated me pretty well for a newcomer though this trip, and I like them better than any of the MGM properties, so when I go non-CET, they may be front of the line.

As a note, one of the chefs told me that the corned beef hash on Paris buffet is made with left over prime rib. So that is why the flavor is so unique. (I always put some on my plate too!).

That solves the mystery. It had a TON of flavor....and very GOOD flavor too, not just some McCormick spices. But I couldn't figure it out. I guess because my brain was hooked on "prime rib" not being "corned beef" but that makes perfect sense. That stuff was delicious!

Ha! And now that you mention that, I wonder if the chorizo hash is made out of the leftover taco meat lol cause it tasted just like taco bell but hotter, and I thought it was really greasy and kinda gross.

Just caught up on your trip report...great slot hits! Looked like such a fun trip and love your outfits! We're booked for Thanksgiving too, but always the chance we'll back out. Probably not...Vegas seems easier than family sometimes.

    Cheers!

The more VMBers come for thanksgiving, the more likely I am to show up! Also depends on a couple things out of my control though like someone taking care of my super clingy pit bull and a co-worker covering my on-call. Shame I can't book a flight right now. Economy/Main is expensive but first class is less than $200 more and currently the cheapest I've ever seen a first class round trip to Vegas, and that's on my favorite Delta!
