William Hill to take over Caesars SportsBooks?

Are we goin to lose the Caesars sportsbooks? That's a major competitive line referenced across the USA.

Horseshoe in Council Bluffs,IA already is/was a William Hill.

 

Interesting, so how does this work for CZR? They get a cut of the profits OR do they lease the property to William Hill?

 

This should have nothing to do with CZR, the language released by WH seems to suggest they will be taking them over, However, with Caesars keeping the Caesars name that may be a workaround. Either way that won't happen until the merger is official.

 

Presumably, it works under the terms of whatever deal exist between Eldorado and William Hill

 

from what I read elsewhere, the deal with WHill says any property that Eldorado buys will also be a W-Hill site.

But, keeping in mind that the deal is a long way from completed, and EVERYTHING is negotiable.... it could go either way. Unless of course CET would rather have W-Hill anyways, then it is already done - or close to it.

 

Well, CET doesn't necessarily get a vote, plus this could be part of the 500 M in synergies

 

Keep in mind that outsourcing is oh-so-trendy in business circles now!

 

Converting the sports books away from the Caesars branding could be one of the first big changes we see because it’s an easier conversion than the merging of the properties and players clubs as a whole. I think this can be done much more quickly, logistically, than many of the other things that our down the pipe. Hate to see it outsourced though.

 

More lines are good for players, and WH is notorious for banning anyone with a pulse who can win

 

Was reading this article this morning. When the merger is complete, I'm pretty sure this will happen as Eldorado has a stake in William Hill.

With a financial interest in WH, Eldorado ain't going to keep the CET sportsbook.

 

Caesars recently signed an agreement with ESPN, where ESPN will use the Caesars lines / odds on their programming. That's big exposure. Would they give that up & ESPN will start quoting William Hill lines / odds?
