“D”owntown, 6/29 thru 7/3

So I’m laying bed starting this TR on my iPad. It is such a pain to type. Anyway plane leaves in about 7 hours or so and just finished packing. Leaving from Boston on non-stop Jet Blue flight. Should arrive a little after 9:00am. Might ask about an upgrade when I get to the airport otherwise is the back of the plane with the riffraff. I should fit right in. Staying at The D for the full trip and doing the slot tournament on the 2nd and 3rd. Sat and Sun will be focused on maximizing the 4Q’s free play promotion.

No real plans other than excessive video poker play, primarily at Vue Bar. Will eat at Andiamo twice to use food comps. Will also be using Binion’s and 4Q’s slot app points for food. Looking forward to seeing Circa progress and will post pics here and the Circa construction thread.

This trip might be a little off for me. Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my Dad’s passing so I have mixed feelings about going away. Last trip I got a memorial tattoo for him. Thinking of something else but may not happen this trip.

As with previous reports will keep it live with mostly VP pics and other interesting sites or observations. Anyone around come find me as I will be proudly wearing my VMB wristband.

Ok, I guess it’s time for bed. Will update in the morning.

Subscribed. Let's do this. I love dogs but travel too much to have one. He is certainly pouring on the guilt on that pic. When I am packing my cats jump in and out of my bag and do all they can to prevent me from packing. Not sure if this is attention seeking or they have learned that I am leaving but EVERY time I pull out a suitcase it is the same thing. I bet your dog knows exactly waht's happening when he sees you packing.

 

I believe pets can sense an owners excitement and the OP's doggie is sad, knowing he's not going to be a part of that excitement.

Why am i flying so far when Encore is right here? Vegas, that’s why. (Sorry so blurry)

 

Thru security at Logan. TSA confiscated my electric lighter. Have had no issues on 2 previous flights. $30 loss. Bad luck out of the way early hopefully. No upgrade but that’s ok. I plan to sleep as much as possible. Waking at 2:30 is harsh.

 

Tstorms about. Looks like you can thread the needle. Plus they have you at only 5h 26m if you go wheels up on time.

 

Home for the next 5+ hours. The cup holder is a nice touch. No delays yet

 

Pushed back and headed in the right direction. Sky looks a little black but so far we are clear.

Pouring, wind blowing hard, thunder and lightning but planes are still taking off but they are moving us to another runway. 15 min delay they say. Boo mother nature for keeping me from my only remaining vice.

 

Good luck! On the one year anniv of my Dad's passing I stood outside with my drink and did a silent toast (I was in Laughlin, so a little easier to find a quiet spot). But, I'm sure memories will surface during your trip.

Now that the technology induced blackout has been lifted this report shall continue. Landed a couple minutes early. Non stops are good this one was a bit too long. Bee line for the bathroom once off the plane. Used Super Shuttle to The D. I was the only rider so was checked in at 10:00am. Corner king on the 18th floor facing the event center. Late breakfast at D Grille now enjoying the newly renovated Vue Bar. Hoping for something pic worthy soon.

 

First hundred gone and only put on 50 points. Not the best start. Royal is at $1,172 and str8 flush at $171. Taking another shot.
