Plaza Luxe Rooms?

Alexa, why do we need you in a hotel room? [emoji1]

 

We need Alexa, because then I can see how much smarter she is than me. LOL

Besides, if I like her, maybe she can come live with me.

 

But does she count as an adult or a child for the sake of the room’s guest count?

Alexa can help you contact guest services, request a towel from housekeeping or make a reservation at Oscar's. She can also play music, check the weather, look up a flight status, set an alarm, and more! Of course, if you do not wish to use Alexa, you can push the microphone button so she will not be able to hear you and turn her off. We believe she will enhance your experience.

Interesting. So they kept the tiny bathrooms, but took out the tub and put in a walk in shower and sliding door. At least we wont have to step into the tub to close the bathroom door anymore.

 

My Plaza offer for August is for a "Deluxe Room" - is that the same thing as a "Luxe Room"? I'm assuming not, but thought I'd ask (I've only stayed at Plaza once and haven't figured out their system fully yet).

 

The Luxe rooms are the brand new rooms that are just being finished, and should be ready in July.

They are not the same as the deluxe rooms. Much more plush and think luxury, I was told.

Was watching that live earlier... unbelievable to see it in the flesh. Very excited!

 

Now those are some updates! IDK why more hotels don't do the flooring in the rooms, its much more durable and presumably easier to clean/more sanitary. Will there be a bar by the safe to hang clothes?

 

The construction and progress in the video look great. I am staying in a Luxe room at the Plaza a week from Friday. It doesn’t look like they will be ready by then

One feature of the new rooms according to a video I viewed yesterday is the shower head mixing valve is opposite the shower head. So with a fixed 1/2 glass in the shower you can actually regulate the water temp prior to stepping into the shower. A nice feature in my opinion...
