OK, added you...it's amazing how hard it is to pin down the start time of that show, I even looked for info on the one they did last year and couldn't find a start time.

Hello! I arrive on the 2nd. I am interested in the M&G, the slot pull, and an after-pull fireworks viewing if that's still happening in Chuck2009x's or Texaschameleon's temporary digs.
If there is anyone else still interested in splitting the slot pull buy-in, I'd be down for that. If not, I can do the full share.
Thanks for setting this up, @Chuck2009x

    Quick update:

We are at 30 for the M&G and 25 shares in the slot pull. I don't think we need to cap entries at this point, but we definitely are going to have to make a selection of only 3 or 4 machines to play. We basically need to get the pull done by 9:00pm at the latest, which is a little under 5 minutes per share at this point. That should be enough, but we won't have a lot of time to bounce around between machines. And don't forget, we have to cash out the TITOs and divvy up the winnings at the end, and that's gonna take 10 - 15 mins all told.

So this is what I'm gonna suggest...
    • I know there's a Wheel of Fortune machine right outside the HL room. A lot of people always want to play WoF anyway, so that takes care of 1.
    • Another usually-popular one is either Pinball or Top Dollar. Off the top of my head, I don't know if there are either one of those just outside the HL room, but I know there's a Pinball just inside the side entrance, and I think there's a Top Dollar in there too. So we can make either Pinball or Top Dollar Machine # 2 (or #2 and #2a), and send in a contingent.
    • Buffalo is pretty popular, so I'm going to suggest that as Machine # 3. I don't know if there's one right outside HL, but there's plenty of them overall. if the nearest one is way across the casino, we might have to re-think that - there are a couple of banks of multi-game video slots just outside HL, so I'll take a look at those when I get there and see which one has games I see people mention a lot. I'm partial to Cleo II myself, but the one I usually play in that area is in a bad location - it faces one of the outside walls of HL and there's not a lot of room around it.
    • I don't want to totally rule out video poker, there's a bank of those right next to the WoF machine. But I think we'd need to play a hi-volatility game at at least $2 and maybe $5 denom.
    • I'll keep an eye on how we're doing time-wise so we'll know whether we need to do something (voluntarily) like up the per-spin amounts at some point.
    • As people arrive, we ask you which machine you want to play
    • We'll consolidate the sessions per machine (ie. all the people who want to play WoF will go one right after the other, then we move to the next machine, etc.)
Thanks everybody! This is gonna be nuts...:headbang:

You’re on top of things Chuck, but if you need any help with any of the activities, just let me know. I can get there early. Do we do name tags or anything? I could bring some.

I was thinking this morning how useful that would be (name tags) - I'm horrible with names and know no one! I'd be lucky to remember 2-3 30 minutes in.

@Chuck2009x - you're doing the lord's work sir! It is much appreciated!

Chuck put me down tentatively please. We arrive on the 4th, and are staying at Cosmo, but if our flight is delayed at all I won’t make it in time. Look forward to meeting everyone!

OK this got bigger than I expected. We're at 29 shares. Due to time constraints, we need to get it done in 90 minutes. I don't want to move things up another hour, because a lot of people are just getting into town that day. And believe me, (most of) you don't really want to watch someone else playing slots for 2 1/2 hours.

I gotta cap it at 30 shares. So there's one full share left open right now.

In order to get the pull done in 90 mins, and not get too complicated, I think there's two options:
    1. We can still offer a choice of 2 or 3 machines and let people choose the machine they want their money to go in, but limit each turn/share to 3 minutes
    2. We can split the bankroll equally between 2 or 3 machines, buy 2 or 3 TITOs, load 'em up, and then play each machine for either 30 or 45 minutes, then cash out.
I kind of like option 2, it'll be simpler, but it does take away a little more of the player's choice aspect.

No cap on the M&G, and of course everyone can watch the pull.

If anyone is interested in splitting a share, I would be very interested in doing that. Perhaps that'll help with the cap too?

@Chuck2009x - what denominations do people normally play when you have this much bankroll. I mean, if we have 6K, are we playing $25 machines, $100 machines. I've never done a slot pull before. I mean 60 spins on a $100 machine gives you a pretty good chance of hitting something - or even 240 spins on a $25 machine?

Sure, if you can find someone to pair up with to split a share, that's fine, just let me know so I can keep running track of the pairs and the total count.

I think we'll still end up close enough to 30 shares that we're gonna have to implement one of the options I mentioned. The biggest con is that we won't get the maximum number of spins. The biggest pros are that it will probably prompt some stretches with higher per-spin amounts, so if we get lucky, we'll get a bigger hit. And the probability of going totally bust gets much lower.

it's not so much the denom as the per-spin amount. A small group can do like a $5 machine at $10 spin or a $10 machine at $20.

We can still give players some control over that - they can tell the spinner to play $10 x 2 coins, or $25 x 2, etc. on a reel machine like WoF.

Or to play Cleo II or a similar video slot at $1 denom x 20 lines at 1 or 2 credits, so $20 or $40/spin. Or 5 credits for that matter.

As for a $100 denom machine, I don't know if there are any outside the HL room at Cosmo. That WoF just outside it may go to $100, I'm not sure.

Cosmo doesn't want groups of more than 5 inside HL. If someone wanted to play a $100 machine, we could send in a contingent. But I don't think we'd want to do the entire bankroll on that machine while everybody else waited outside.

The original plan was every player could pick their favorite machine. That works with 10 people, but not with 30. i wanted to keep as much player's choice involved as long as possible, but it's just a little too big now.
