    My Trip Report

I am just finalizing my report and running through spell check etc (wow i cannot spell). This was my first solo trip without my Partner (she and I were together for 21 years and watched the Vegas explosion in the late 1990's).
One tease - I was at Cosmo and it was packed with 20 something's and I felt totally out of place.
I will get the report posted tonight.

Also - How do you post pictures, ? have some of the remodeled room at Cosmo.

For this report I will "NOTE:" certain thoughts or events. This was my first SOLO trip; after the passing of my one and Only Partner, Best Friend, my everything.

    Friday
Flew Allegiant from South Bend, 7am flight was easy. South Bend airport is very easy to access, cheap parking and almost no waiting time for security check.
Arrive Vegas at 8am and took Lyft to Cosmopolitan.
NOTE: Lyft pickup at McCarran was a little chaotic. I picked my driver and he immediately appeared - there were over 50 people just standing around. I think most people "reserve" their driver when they get to the pickup location.
Anyhow, got to Cosmo early - no rooms - but I have paid extra for early check-in (35.00) - so they had one ready for me by 10am.
NOTE: They give you your room keys, then text you the room number and tower - just went straight to the room.
ROOM: remodeled. As you walk in there is a living area, nice "L" shaped couch and had a huge 65" HD on wall. Cosmo took OUT the small tickets area, dishwasher and most importantly the Microwave. They have a mini bar AND empty fridge (which was nice). Closet doors are new, carpet is new and all new Bed fittings. Headboard had pop out lights for reading and perfect size 50" HD tv.
NOTE: you can connect your table to the TV, it has minimal channels; but option to use pandora and Netflix and Crackle.

Walked to Walgreens to grab some cokes, "sangria" cans, beer and 7-up for my Shandy's. Nice and sunny and party mood on strip.
FOOD!!!!!...I decided to give Holsteins another try. Sat at the bar and ordered the classic (fries were $4.00) ...Burger was Ok, but for $17.50 - I expected more. Should have gone to the Buffet.
Went to Identity window - new location; and discovered my GOLD status was demoted to Silver - they also have a lower than Siler. All the benefits are less than 2 years ago. I had 3200 points; but that was it.
Started on the slots...Monkees slot is located close to the front of casino.
NOTE: New "cuts and cocktails" barbershop - finally Cosmo has gotten on the Male shave bandwagon; but combining it with cocktails.... well.... think I will stick with "art of shaving". The place was very busy, and it appears that Cosmo is trying to make it more appealing to the younger crowd, with music and selling Whiskey etc. Art of Shaving at MB and Venetian are more relaxing, Sinatra music and the "old time" feel of a barber shop.
I play monkees slot as I like the bonus music......Dropped $100.00 and walked away with $125.00 after 2 hours play and 3 drinks (I only drink coke or water on casino floor - yeah boring). Then off to room to refreshed and decided to shower and shave (by now it is 8pm and I was tired. - the early flight getting to me (had left house at 3am). Well once I enjoyed the Hot shower (had to max out heat) and shave; I decided to try the Bedroom tv out and 10 hours later it was morning.

    Saturday:

Enjoyed a sleep in and rose to the beat of the Marquee day club (I knew I should have asked for a higher floor). IF you are in the BLVD tower and facing the other Cosmo tower - the Day club beat will come straight up. Room was loud, so I closed off the bedroom and watched TV in the nice couch.
Decided it was breakfast time and went down to Eggslut - well over 150 people in line, yes, I walked to the end of the line counting everyone I passed. Decided on taking a hard pass on the eggslut and headed over to the Henry. Seated at bar and had the nice Brioche French toast. Back to the room to clean teeth and room was already cleaned- wow.... Awesome.
Down to the slots and I found wonder woman.... I played this in Honor of my late Dina (my best friend, partner, lover, passed away in Dec... Vegas was our 3 times a year trip...missed her so much) .... Anyhow, dropped a $100.00 and started off playing 150 credits, FOUR hours later is left with $295.00. LOVE the bonus music and got plenty of spins.
NOTE: Had a guy sit next to me, he plays 500 credits...within 3 spins (and down to his last $5.00 pull) he hit the bonus and chose the 25 spin......he won over $655.00 on those free spins, He was happy.
Needed a snack and went to Starbucks (front of casino0 and discovered a line 30 people long....Well "didn't Cosmo have its own coffee shop".... Walked back to reservation area and BOOM. There it was VA Bene cafe, I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha (always got one for Dina). For experience, I knew this would keep me filled till Dinnertime.
Back to slots and tried a few others, even the Ghost busters 4D....dropped $100.00 on the 4D quickly. Noticed most slots are 40 to 80 coin minimum. Tested out a few others and dropped $400.00 in 2 hours. So, I headed back to my lady and "wonder Woman".... dropped the $295.00 ticket from lasttime and spent about 1 hour and left with $250.00 - only 1 bonus.
Was getting to 6pm, and headed to room, cleaned up a bit and was wondering for Dinner. Saturday night swapped Cosmo....well I walked around and found China Poblano open (was going to try Block 16; but not seats open) .... Anyhow, had my Queso Fundido with Chorizo (they now charge $3.00 for the Chorizo). Was still very good and hit the spot. Buffet was an option; but I was not that hungry. Back to slots, as I walked around
NOTE: Cosmo average age was about 22. Very young crowd, Loud and having a lot of fun. Almost all of people had cell in one hand and drink in the other.
Stopped by the sports book, very nice area at comso - they have free pool and table games, also a horse race and great bar area. Went up to second and third floors to check out restaurants, Same ones as before - Zuma was new and very nice inside. I really wanted to try a Donut from Block 16 - but the place was always packed. Decided to walk over to Aria and had plans to go to Park; but my feet started to hurt. Wow I must be getting old. When Dian and I came, I would walk all over the strip, while she played. Anyhow it was a return to Cosmo and to my Monkees machine. Played for 2 hours and went to Wonder Woman for another 2 hours...Was around 11pm and headed to bed.
NOTE: Tv system is very nice, Cosmo have removed any option to buy new movies (I know other properties used to give open to buy recent moves, adult etc.) .... Nice option to login to Netflix.
NOTE: room have very nice remotes for turning off lights and an IPAD for temp controls, room service etc.

    Sunday:
Last day here and flight was not till midnight...Woke up with a migraine...which ruined my Sunday. Stayed in the darkened room for about 2 hours, to the meds and eventually it went away. Did not feel like any food (I had planned on a nice lunch); but instead went to Pizza place. Went back to casino floor and tried the 4D again, lost another $100.00. Tried the WOF for the jackpot - Was a $1.00 slot and had to use $5.00, went through $200.00. Tried a couple more slots and found a 100 play Video poker. Stayed there for about 2 hours, not too bad returns - nothing huge. Decided to walk over to Bellagio, much older crowd; but still very busy. Returned to Cosmo and packed my back - I am so OCD, it took me 30 minutes of checking all closets, bathroom twice etc. Anyhow time passed and was ready to leave, I had planned to checkout at 9pm; but decided to leave early - so clicked on TV for express check-out - NOT available !!! went to front desk and arranged for Lyft.....but there were over 50 people in Line, all were checking out......So I missed the lyft and it took 45 minutes to work through the line. Finally checked out at 9:30pm, got my Lyft and off to the airport. Drive to airport took a little longer that drive coming in.
Flight home seemed long, maybe because I was tied (cannot sleep on plane to nervous); maybe I just wanted to get home - just did not like it. Parking was only 29 dollars for 3 full days and a couple of hours.

    Highs:
Cosmo Room - nice technology, color tones, still give you empty Fridge. Negative was removing microware and coffee maker
    Eggslut, China Poblano
Wonder Woman machine - she kept on giving (has every trip)
Monkees Machine - Still fun and love "daydream believer"
Allegiant Airbus - new seats, refreshed
Lyft - this was my first time and I had $5.00 off trip coupons, so total of $7.00 too and from Cosmo was awesome. Also pleasant drivers.

    Lows:
Cosmo was packed. Still great atmosphere; but not my scene anymore
    Memories.
The Henry removing the fish and chips

    Need to Try:
    Cuts and Cocktails, interesting concept.
    Donuts from Block 16

    Any questions message me.

Thank you all for your kind wishes. She and I Loved Vegas.
I also totally forgot about the VMB meet-up. My mind was not quite with it this time.
