The Toronto Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Championships.

It was a good series and a great final game to commemorate the closing of Oracle Arena. It would have been better if the Warriors had won, but they didn't, and life goes on.

    Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors.

The refs put the whistle away once Toronto started to get in foul trouble.

Last night was a terrible feeling... carried over till today. I have no idea what the team will look like at the start of next season. I think Durant takes the Warrior's $30 million and rehabs the entire year and then leaves. Ehhhh… he earned it. He brought us 2 titles and risked his career for a 3rd. Klay will re-sign, but likely won't play till March. That'll tie up more money we can't utilize to sign someone. Klay's the heart and soul of the team... I sure hope he stays.

Draymond will be back, but I hope with a few less turnovers and hope Steph learns to play a little more focused. I don't care that he missed that last shot... he's made and will make plenty, but at times, even in the biggest moments he seems totally unfocused to me. I guess that's the "devil may care" attitude that's made him one of the greats... gotta take the good with the bad.

Boogie... I dunno… he doesn't fit the "style" of ball... let him go. Will Iggy be back, will Livingston? Bogut's gone for sure. I see we're still the early favorites, but the truth is, I don't think anyone knows what the NBA's gonna look like next year. Lookin' forward to the draft next week and free agency July 1st.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

PS Toronto WON that series... they played like champs and got help from everyone who saw playing time. CONGRATULATIONS!

The injuries were to much to overcome. Toronto was fortunate in that regard and this championship will likely have a asterisk next to it.
Golden State caught a huge break when Chris Paul went down with Houston leading 3-2 in that series so things do come full circle.

There will be no asterisk for the 2019 Raptors. Even after they win, they still get disrespected. Simply put, Toronto played better ball, and earned the right of 2019 NBA Champs.

So there should be an asterisk when Golden State won their first championship against the Cavaliers in 2015. I guess it doesn't count since Cleveland was missing Kyrie and Love. (Silly comments like this deserve shaking of heads)
Toronto won. Just like Golden state has won before.

My LA Lakers are the favorites next season at 9-2. Warriors have dropped down to 14-1.

Warriors in 15 beat Lebron in 6, blew a 3-1 lead when the Cavs were healthy, then needed Durant to beat Lebron. Kinda funny how a supposed atg can’t even win a finals mvp.

Toronto has a better basketball team.

Proven fact because they hoisted a trophy proclaiming such.

First saw the Warriors play in 1974, the year they beat the Bullets for the championship with Rick Barry, Keith Wilkes, Clifford Ray, etc. That game was in the same arena they played in last night—in those days it was Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena. I was 15. Haven't seen many more games there and have never seen the current iteration of the Warriors but it was good run—Curry, Kerr and Thompson are class individuals. Guessing the short dynasty is indeed over.

But, congrats to Toronto. Like the St. Louis Blues, they have won their first ever championship. Wonder if baseball and football will fall in line with that trend—Milwaukee looks good, never won it all—and in the NFL maybe it's time for someone like the Chargers, Browns, Vikings or Falcons to step up. Wonder if there's a parlay bet on it?

    Well, lets break it down.
    KD will stay at GS.
    Klay will stay at GS
Kawai will either stay in Toronto or goes to LA, if it's the Clip joint, the Clips will exit the first or second round.
Jimmy Butler will either stay with Philly or join LeBron's Lakers.
However, Lakers will aquire AD, probably a 3 team trade involving Beal. The Lakers wil not send all three out, probably keep one + the 4th pick. The Lakers will sign back Lopez, allowing AD at the 4, Lebron at the 3, and Lopez at 5.
If the Lakers only get AD, they still have Kuz, Hart, maybe Harris, etc. to fill out the roster. And, they will have a decent coach, along with Kidd and Hollins.

I never said the Lakers will win the title, that's Vegas. But with the West open for business once again, the Lakers will have 2 of the top 5 superstars. And if Kawii joins the Lakers as well, as long as they are healthy, they will have 3 of the top 5 superstars............ala the Warriors.

Lebron only has a couple of good years left, would love to see him get a title at least one time, making the trifector.....Lakers, Heat, and Cavs.
Then the future is still bright with AD at the helm.

Kawhi will never play with Lebron :lock: Kawhi will be with Raptors 90% or Clippers 10 %

Ya have to agree with rooster, not seeing Kawhi playing with Lebron....so much drama...

Doc Rivers and Kawhi would be very very good but how do you leave Toronto??

Clippers can only hope he wants championships with multiple teams.
