I had horrible food at Virgil's. Brisket was like rubber. Maybe I'm spoiled being from the South but man it was gross.

I've always enjoyed Memphis on Warm Springs. BBQ is sooooooo subjective, and one's meat is another's poison, literally.

I and a friend did Virgil's last April. It was not bad, but it was not exceptionally good either. We ate at the bar and I had some kind of sampler plate that they offer.

I did not see my favorite barbecue, Big B's Texas BBQ, listed.

Boss's Slow Smoked BBQ has closed at the location listed as of 5/30 and, as of 6/5, is temporarily operating in front of 1935 Fremont St. with a limited menu.

I have been here once and was not wowed. I will try it again. Famous Dave was rated number 1 out here for several years. We had some yesterday and it was pretty good.

Thanks for posting this... I've been out to John Mull's and the Rollin' Smoke original location over on Highland and enjoyed both. I'll have to look out for the others, though I guess I'm not a huge BBQ guy. I enjoy it, just not something I crave.

Famous Dave is a chain. It's all over the upper midwest.

I have to admit that Famous Dave is good, but when I'm in Las Vegas, I want something VEGAS and not something I can get down the street.

Famous Dave's is crap. My dog won't even eat that stuff. For BBQ in Vegas, you gotta go to Rollin Smoke, Binions, Jesse Raes, or Sin City Smokers. Those 4 are in a class far above anyone else. A few others will do in a pinch, but you'd be better off sticking a can of Alpo on the grill than going to Famous Dave's.

binions and ellis island are edible/cheap but thats about it and should not be mentioned in the best bbq category.

I see that Rollin Smoke has an AYCE option. At some point when I taper off the Keto, that would be a great way to try everything and feel like I’d get my money’s worth!

And thanks for the info about Famous Dave’s being a chain. Jesse Rae’s also looks pretty good too! I have to say I wasn’t too impressed with Binion’s BBQ.
