    My Trip Report

CACC6D2F-885C-4167-9848-0BD55464B541.jpeg A8C2EA09-0136-4249-82D8-4341D4722D5C.jpeg 4F796F08-E057-4FAF-9443-50B0BE1075E3.jpeg 7A261409-9381-4B5D-B01B-9DD972D9E7A4.jpeg Other people posting TRs makes waiting for my next trip so much more exciting. Thanks to all those who post. I wasn’t able to do a live one but we enjoyed our trip so here goes.

Players = M (husband) & L (me). Our trips during the past 5 years have been with daughter and her friends who turned 21 and/or with our friends who aren’t really gamblers.

Why: M = celebrated a milestone birthday last week. He lost his best friend (his Mom) and also his younger brother last year. He needs a fun vacation! We both need a fun vacation!

Where: Cosmopolitan for a fabulous 8 days and 7 nights. Reserved as comped all nights except the last night. While playing slots one evening we had a slot host come and introduce himself to us. Gave us his card and said to look him up before we left. It worked out that we got all our charges comped. Started out as Sterling but left as Gold members. Excited that we have “a host” to call on future visits.

Our nonstop flight on SWA left on time at 9:00 am June 1.. We arrived at 9:00 am LV time. Cabbed it to the Cosmo. We used Uber the rest of the week. Asked what it would cost to do an upgrade but Wraparounds were booked. We took our reserved Terrace Angle Fountain view in the Chelsea tower. We love it because of 2 bathrooms - his and hers. It has a larger terrace than most. It wasn’t quite ready yet so we Ubered to Planet 13.

Planet 13 is awesome. Most likely not the least expensive but I wanted to see it. Very cool place. Show ID at the door and pickup a ticket. Walk over the interactive floor . Gave my ticket to the next guy to enter the showroom. Sign in on an iPad and wait for a text. The text tells you which register to go to. I explained what I wanted and the bud tender hooked me up with what I enjoyed for the whole week. He hit the nail on the head on his recommendations.

Got back to Cosmo to check in a little before noon. Entered the amazing room and unpacked. Hauled our empty suitcase over the Walgreen to stock up on necessities for the week.

After getting settled we headed to Downtown. We’ve never seen the Grand. So that was our first stop. Very friendly guy getting us set up with a slot card. Enjoyed it. I’de go back. 1E6C5832-C177-4B84-8763-4D4C77488727.jpeg ADEBAF7E-A07D-48C6-B0BA-48A98AB4B6A8.jpeg DD5D431A-2492-4948-A2C7-029CC5435C39.jpeg 05FB050B-A178-40E0-A27A-31C54099C784.jpeg 6A5828E0-AE32-4028-9F73-8766CE69944B.jpeg EE19F4D9-5863-464C-BA18-06994B4789CD.jpeg 300D6F3F-5270-4C07-978D-346998EB69CE.jpeg ED350F94-557B-4333-94F8-E9CB55186AA7.jpeg 58933E44-A528-4797-9758-FD34CD673B59.jpeg 2BBEDB18-F017-4D35-AD21-25C3007EE1F6.jpeg We had a fun time downtown. Dinner at the Grotto was delicious. We made the rounds to GN, Silver Strikes at the Four Queens, El Cortez, missed going into the Golden Gate but we said we’de back later in the week but it didn’t happen.

Very sorry about your hubby's losses. 8 days at Cosmo must have been fantastic. Great move on the host's part to comp all of your charges!

While searching for M new sunglasses at Miracle Mile we came across the robots making drinks. 4623DCA7-B720-41AF-B502-BF429C88BFF4.jpeg D63B43B7-EF81-483D-A80C-10CDAFC5C2C7.jpeg C4340B77-8786-4BD4-82E8-E88556F98450.jpeg F808EC2D-246D-46C4-BAA0-E04FD062C250.jpeg 9884615E-60E0-4DD0-8885-AF2D3B332DF9.jpeg 20801AA1-AE35-4719-933F-98D71F68E4DF.jpeg 5176B54C-56CF-4966-AA64-77AF6815EEF8.jpeg B5BF2C05-E956-48E2-B3C8-F502642B4DA5.jpeg

It was Monday or Tuesday. Nice morning at the BLVD. pool. Day Drink Believer was my favorite or was it mimosa’s. Both, different days! The next two photos are of a ring shaped balloon being let go from a terrace. Glad I got to see it. It was very special to someone! (Sorry the ring pictures are out of order not sure how to fix that.) 75B10335-7EEE-43CB-AEE4-67EA1F67DE73.jpeg 75B10335-7EEE-43CB-AEE4-67EA1F67DE73.jpeg 508301A4-050A-43DD-A00B-F1BED98288C7.jpeg

We loved Eataly but not the blackjack table. A couple slots in Park. I used to hear casino was boring but I thought it was lively enough. I always liked Monte Carlo.

Tuesday began with the pool for a few hours. I got my hair done at the Drybar. Nothing better than a great blowout to start off the afternoon/evening. Definitely worth the $49.

We had planned to be apart of a slotpull at the Cosmo HL room 966E79E6-C72E-4234-BE0D-365721AF8A03.jpeg E9D4B9D8-7708-49C0-AA6D-3D83EC24D527.jpeg 6D7E0411-1595-4787-AFD0-B7B97C80DFB2.jpeg which didn’t work out for the others. It’s so easy to get distracted in LV. Disappointed no one else showed but heck we’re making it happen with just ourselves. We both put in $200. We cashed out with $2000. Fun slot pull.

As you can probably tell I forgot to take more photos of the food. When it was time to eat I was ready to eat.

Javier’s is one of our favorites. So photos below.
    Other food —
Peppermill - love the place, can’t miss it. We got there early to play VP and have a few drinks.
    Aria buffet 2 for 1 - ok for 2 for 1.
Wicked Spoon 2 for 1 - would go back anytime.
Secret Pizza - I ,issued out but M said it was great as usual.
    China Poblano - queso fundido
Hattie’s chicken was excellent according to M and I thought the sliders were good.
HEXX - wonderful Bloody Mary’s and lobster and bbq sliders were good. IMO a slider doesn’t need both. F10F47C5-3067-4824-98A2-4A9AE56F10F4.jpeg 683D849A-4C69-487C-85E6-4237ED516084.jpeg 3F1A0F1C-D83E-41E1-BDEC-3ED24400F9E2.jpeg

He won some but won on almost every slot machine. I did OK gambling. No BIG wins and no handpay but it was soooo much fun trying.

Visited the Ghost Donkey where we asked for a suggestion. We received 2 shots with vanilla, orange flavor with a orange slice. Wonderful. I wanted to go for happy hour everyday but didn’t take the time.

We didn’t have any problems getting tickets for drinks at the VP at Chandelier. I thought the drink service on the floor/slots at the Cosmo the best we had anywhere during our whole week. We visited numerous places with no drink service at all. If you want a drink find the cocktail waitress before choosing a slot.

We’re already planning our next trip in September for my birthday and to watch Texas A&M football. Gig’em y’all!

    Final photos....

Great TR! Thanks for all the pics.

Not sure if that pic of all those drink tickets speaks to a gambling degeneracy or an uncanny ability to moderate the booze intake...

Love the idea about taking an empty suitcase for the liquor/snack/water run. Clever ;) I will have to try and remember that one.
