Hello Boys and Girls, my fellow Vegas Addicts,

Just in case, anyone was not aware of this (I wasn't, always a day late and a dollar short, lol) the Plaza now is offering FREE shuttle service FROM the airport to their hotel and FROM the hotel TO the airport. Hotel guest only. :woot:

I confirmed this with the hotel as well.

I knew they always had the shuttle from the hotel to the airport, but now offering from airport to their hotel is just awesome in my opinion. :headbang:

Reservation form is on their web site, along with the shuttle schedule.

Now, I do not need to worry about Uber/Lyft, taking the airport shuttles, or even the WAX bus. LOL o_O

This service makes staying at the Plaza, even more attractive.

    That’s great news.

I always thought that more Vegas hotels should provide free airport to hotel shuttles. Reno has quite a network of them.

My recollection is that the taxis threatened to boycott Vegas hotels who would offer such a service. Glad Plaza is doing so

Please don't forget to tip the driver! They've cleaned house there again and through personal experience their driving staff is terrific. Make this a positive change for everyone.

We always tip the driver and everyone else in Vegas. LOL I am thrilled they are offering this service in both directions. It saves me some cash, so I can pay it forward and still have a little extra left over. Hell, the last shuttle we took from the airport, the driver almost got all of us killed, several times, and I still tipped him. NO, it was not a Plaza shuttle, It was ODS and I vowed I would never use them again.

There still is a reservation form that you have to complete from the web site.

I will be making our reservation in a few days for the shuttle for our Sept trip.

I think it also sends a ticket to your smart phone, or you can print one out. It does mention handing the ticket to the driver.

If using the shuttle from the Plaza to the airport, reservations have to be made 24 hours in advance at the desk.

    Hope this helps.

Glad I could help. I'm usually the one with questions, of which I have had many recently.

    This group is wonderful :)

We used the service back to airport in April. Only room for 5 peeps, my Mom and I were joined by two sisters from Hawaii and a single gal from Oakland who was at Plaza for Pickleball tourney. We had so much fun on the drive!! Driver was excellent and friendly, cold water supplied. We tipped accordingly. Great service!

We also used it in April to the airport (all they offered at the time) and our driver was really nice as well.

I truly think, most people tip drivers. I haven't really seen anyone not tip a driver on any shuttle.come to think of it.

    That’s great news.

It’s actually pretty smart. Control where the consumer spends their money, preferably all at their casino.

Exactly. The faster you get people to your hotel/casino, the faster they can start gambling, dining, having drinks, whatever. And not having to deal with shuttles, long walks to Uber/Lyft pick up, and taxi's long hauling you, possibly, is such a huge plus in my opinion.

Good to see they've added more times, the original times they had to the shuttle to the airport never worked with our flights so I never used it. Hopefully these time will add up better! This, along with the remodeled luxe rooms may tip me over into staying here again!

With the new Luxe rooms, and now the shuttle TO and FROM the airport, these were the deciding factors for us to stay there again. Not to mention, they have a promotion for the new Luxe rooms during July and August. Contact Curt at the Plaza if you want more information about the Luxe rooms. :)

If it works out well, maybe a need for a larger vehicle

Our trip isn't until Sept. but I will be writing a trip report about everything, from the Pool at the Plaza to the freak show on Fremont street. LOL

Highlights will be on the Luxe rooms, casino, and general stuff for the Plaza.

My opinion, they really need to advertise the shuttle for hotel guest on their web site in BOLD where it is easily seen. And it wouldn't hurt either if the hotel reservation clerks added that bit of information, to guest making a reservation through the phone system.

I'm thinking a lot of people still do not know about this. :hmmm:

Isn't the tradeoff that a city creates a taxi service as a car-for-hire monopoly with the concession being that said taxis must give rides fairly and freely within the service area? If they're going to allow operators to discriminate, doesn't that just create the original uber/lyft problem where drivers were much less likely to take a fare to the bad part of town?
